I have the black bezel and love it. Those creamy markers during sunset as the lume starts kicking in after being outside in sun all day long is just gorgeous look.
This was my first proper watch, burgundy BB41 with the Rose logo. My collection includes a Speedmaster and the new Rolex Pepsi, but I always see myself returning to this none. My wrist is 6.5 so clearly on the lower end but still, my favorite watch due to the beautiful bezel color and warm gold hands!!
I just watched your video. Gladly, the BB 41 version 2 with burgundy bezel wasn’t completely discontinued but just replaced by the even better version 3. I love mine with the new five-link-bracelet.
I have one of these on their “vintage leather strap”. I have an 8 inch wrist and it fits perfectly. Normally I won’t have less than 42mm, this is far smaller than some of my others, but gets a lot of wear time. The current fad for watches between 36&39mm leaves me cold. They look like ladies watches on me.
Hi , what’s your wrist size man ? Do like the distressed leather strap have same 6,75 wrist have big watches and smaller don’t care about what other people think 😂 it’s my taste ! Not for others tastes 😊 the new models are metas certified and bit thinner nothing special ( have 14,3 m divers lug to lug 49 it fits 👌 let me know about how many holes / wrist size you’ve got pls ! All the best enjoy it in good health !
I've had Tudor Black Bay S&G 41 with champagne dial for maybe 4 years. Really, really like the piece. I have super small wrist (seems like everyone is thinking they have small wrist :D ), and fine, it is thick, and it looks thick. But once you wear it for a while, you totally get used to it. To be totally honest, when I bought mine, and started to wear it, it didn't even cross my mind that I was wearing something super big, and everybody on the watch community seemed to be in love with the Black Bay 41-line. Then, all of a sudden, it seemed like over night, I started to read and hear how the watch was too thick, Like, did it grow bigger on peoples wrist or what?!?! Well, it is what it is.. Hope you enjoy yours, looks super great. I will definitely keep on wearing and loving mine. ps. Nice video & review. And very refreshing to see a positive content of the Black Bay 41 line.
Yep you love it. You have a great wife that knows watches. You got the great variant to the 58’s. And from what I see you have a very accomplished collection. Congrats.
I have the Black Bezel 41mm. I have been tempted to flick it for the BB58, but there is just something about it. I did buy the Uncle Seiko 1/2 link and that has made it possible to get a near perfect fit.
@watchandrew I have this watch too. A wedding gift from my wife. And I too, share the exact same admirations about it. That red bezel, nuff said. Enough to convince me to go for it, over the 58 black, despite its chunkier size. Not gonna lie, I was worried too if it's going to be too big on my 6.6 inch wrist. But after wearing it for well over 4 months now, like you, I've embraced the BB41 Red, all good and bad about it. TBH, the real flaw that distracts me most about it, is not the thickness nor the faux rivets. But is actually it's unnecessarily long lugs. 50mm lug-to-lug to a 41mm case size, the ratio is just a tad too much. Makes the watch look bigger that it actually should, sometimes looking more like a 42mm. Can't help thinking that Tudor surely could have shortened the lug-to-lug length down to 48mm at least, to look more compact on the wrist and much more true to it's size. Had they done that, perhaps the Heritage BB41s would have sold better? Maybe that's why the BB58 too looks pretty big for a 39mm watch with a 47mm lug-to-lug. Otherwise, I love my BB41 Red to bits. I wish pair it with a BB41 Harrods. Nicknaming them both Mario and Luigi. 🔴🟢
Totally agree- I love the rivets detail - nice subtle addition....I DO NOT like the new 'Jubilee' bracelet option on the new 41 - that is way too busy on a solid dive/work watch vibe IMHO. Ultimately these are all just aesthetic choices- no wrong answers!
I don't understand the hate about the rivets. It's there for a certain look and I think it looks great. People that complain, 'oh but it doesn't do anything, it's just for looks' - like wake up... we are spending THOUSANDS on a watch FFS. I could point to 20 other things about the watch that are there just for looks.
I agree. The older Rollies had rivets like it or not. Yes they held the bracelet together back then but the look was the same as to the current models. They didn't complain as much back then.
The ‘snowflake’ hour hand is a design motif that is ‘simply there for the looks’. However it doesn’t offend in design terms because there’s nothing fake about it. The ‘rivets’ are fake because they are not rivets. It is deceptive in design terms meant to create an illusion of an architecture that does not in reality exist. Fake rivets on a plastic G-Shock are one thing because the whole design ethos is often a plastic rendition of a steel watch. Fake rivets or indeed any fake features on an expensive Swiss watch offends people because they are paying for quality and authenticity in the brand, the movement and all other features and qualities of the watch. Fake rivets are a lie just like a fake watch is a lie.
@@marcopanti1017 it is just an aesthetic thing. Nothing more. Just like a spoiler on a sports car that really does absolutely nothing! Just there for looks. The links on a Tudor are solid and very well built the little bump (faux rivet) doesn't make the bracelet any less solid or robust. Just like old radium looking lume is made to look like "old radium lume" that could also be considered deceptive although We all clearly know the rivets are not "real rivets" and old radium isn't really "old". Tudor isn't trying to deceive anyone. It just a "look". If they didn't have them people would complain that they look too much like a Rolex. Watch people are just plain crazy 🤦
If I had to keep only one watch , this would be the one. Incredible value for money yes its not the perfect watch but that doesn't exist anyway. Be happy to buy what works for you & you alone.
I think the insider info you've got on the discontinuation of the Tudor 32, 36 and 41 black bay are the non-heritage models. Those are the ones running the self-winding ETA movements still. I think they'll be discontinued and then re-released some time later with the in-house movements.
That red bezel just does for me they need a 58 red, I have a blue 58 and I was concerned about the aluminium bezel the way people go on about them negatively I brought my watch November 2020 and it looks like new still and I wear it every day,
Glad you like it. I absolutely love mine! I think it looks great with the aluminium bezel as this keeps the vintage look and feel to it. Personally I think ceramic would lose this effect and that's what the pelagos is for. I do agree with the slab side though. Its seems too much of an empty space on show, however you don't notice this or the faux rivets when you're wearing it. It would be a shame to discontinue this piece as a lot of people like watches this size.
Ive got the s and g in 41. I quite like the slab sides, and the faux rivets. My wrists are 19cm so the 58 would be too small for my tastes. My only gripe is that the clasp seems to pick up scratches from nowhere. I really enjoy mine , so I'm glad your enjoying yours again. And you have to love it, because your Mrs will kill you, lol.
I’m good with the rivets yes to on the fly micro adjustments or just by the steel reef fold out extension link definitely no to the ceramic bezel and having seen the new version with that crown nope metas well I can live without it. I’ve just ordered a brandnew second generation for £2870 think I’ve done well 😂
Love the blackbay Andrew . I owned the gmt before passing it on . If it was thinner and had no rivets . I would sell my sub and buy one. Beautiful watch
I just don’t get how they could have a 41mm that thick, a couple years later they design a 39mm that was much thinner. It made my Omega SMP Diver look compact and thin. I have a 7 1/3 inch wrist and I ended up going with BB58 after wearing the 41mm for a min. it was just too chunky. I love the 41 diameter but I’d expect that thickness on a 600m diver like the omega PO, not a 200m diver. All the Black Bay’s are great looking watches, yours looks great on your wrist.
Think for me it would be too thick. Just cannot understand why everyone who owns one (or a BB) moans about the rivets, they are a feature of this bracelet.. if you don’t like them why not save some money and get it on rubber or leather. Still a great watch but the BB58 in blue would be my choice, tried one on and loved the fit. 👍
I own this watch and it wears great ! It annoys me hearing these people whining on about how big and heavy this watch is ! If you have small girlie wrists then don’t fuckn buy it ! Simple
Yeah I know what you mean - it's taken me a while to get used to it - I never did the first time I had this watch..... it's a big ask to buy and then take a couple of weeks before getting 'used to it'

Just got this watch. Wanted the bb58 but it wasn’t available and this came by. I got it. And now yes the thickness and weight is a bit of a bother. Although I’ve been using tissot seastar 1000 and that’s chunky too but for some reason this one keeps making me feel as if it’s too heavy and thick. Well I’ll keep it on and see. Still feeling for the 58 but now that I have this will keep it. The red bezel is really catchy and makes it look more sporty than the 58. Confused still- Let’s see

METAS and TFit coming to everthing Tudor. The bulky case though. Can’t get over the fatness of Tudor. A Black Pelagos maybe one day. Nah, talked myself out of it while typing.

I love the new updated version of this. Much thinner with the better clasp but the same classic look!
your passion is contagious! so much that I've just bought one too! Gorgeous watch!
I bought the black distressed leather strap for mine and it suits this watch so well I haven’t put the bracelet back on since
That's a great shout!! How much was it mate?
It was £160 on ebay, think i had to buy the clasp separately though. Just keep an eye out on eBay

Just sold mine. Loved the dial and the size, but just couldn't deal with how thick and top heavy it was.
Yeah I can see why it would get to people - it did me the first time round.
It’s a very nice watch, I always liked these. Enjoy it
42/22mm is my sweet spot, so the 58 is just way too small for me. Hopefully they tweak & slim down the OG down & re-re it.
Agreed
Yeah I reckon it could be a world beater with a few small adjustments
