  • The Mokokchung district of Nagaland is the home of Ao tribe. The Ao tribe is one of the largest tribes of the state. With high literacy rate, this tribe is the most influential tribe in the state in every sphere of life in the state. In this episode, we focus on the customary laws of the Ao tribe.

    I am from Hyderabad. From my childhood i am passionate about Nagas. Dnt know reasons but i visited 5 times and having lot of Nagas as friends mainly Ao cummunity.

      @@soda7803 If there is a nation/state which already respects and honors all the diverse languages and fanatic linguistic identities it is the responsibility of the peoples of that nation/state to learn that one language the nation/state speaks. In the case of India that language is Hindi or Hindustani.
      PS: Almost all the north India, including Northeast and Rajasthan and Punjab have very ancient and prevalent regional languages. So even they have to learn Hindi, other than their mother tongue. Grow a big heart like them.

    Awesome series.
    If something is missing or less discussed then its how missionary entered this space and how all the tribes convivence to convert in Christianity. I've watched all the episodes of "Main bhi bharat" about northeast tribes but shyam sundar has no where mentioned that how all of sudden Aadivashi's are convinced to convert. See, its their choice we can't do anything but as far i know aadivashis have their own ritual and their own god. they not need to follow any of our religion.
    At some point I think its good they have converted so they are living good life now but if the missionary had what agenda nobody knows. its 1832 and before that time

    Kindly there are no adivasi in Nagaland. We are tribals and many to lives in villages doesn't mean we lives in jungle. So much biase by terming us as adivasi.

      Adivasi means tribe in hindi. Literal meaning is native people(adi=first/old vasi=inhabitants). Maybe he can use the word jan-jaati, but that means race.

      Daaku Red Panda ...Am not bias, maybe you do, that's why you are countering. If u are educated then you'll know adivasi stands for jungle dwellers. Of course there are many villages in Nagaland but we don't live in jungles like adivasi. Get it straight.
