I wish to echo that sentiment by saying I know you have a lot invested in this channel, and I'm sure have a big vision for it in the future with potential income and creative content but I too want to say whatever you produce is wonderful. I remember in your earlier videos you would somewhat apologize for a certain video not being in Positano but the truth is we tune in to see you and your family as much as we do to see italy. I'm sure most people feel that way. I've been watching a lot of different vlogs (channels) for a long time now, and I'm so clear that a huge part of the draw to any given vlog is the person hosting it not necessarily just the content. In any event, I wanted to say how touched I was by your generosity in allowing us a glimpse into the very private party for your beloved father. I was just really touched that we got to witness such a personal event. Take care of yourself Nicki, take more time off...I know it's easier said than done but I hope you will.

As a fan, from the USA, I want you to know that I adore your videos for many reasons. I enjoy the scenery, the travel adventure, and the interaction between you, Carlo and whomever you meet. You and your family are a joy and you must know that anyone who is an adult and realistic understands and admires the bravery of your entire household, extended family, and friends to participate in videos that are snapshots of your daily lives. They are candid and engaging. the content is great. This being said, it reminds me of how much you and your family have in common with those us from other countries as we encounter the days of our lives. BTW...a vacation may well require a follow up staycation.♥

I’m watching from Southern California. I love to see ALL the places she goes! The snow, rain & hail are all interesting as I don’t get much of that in my life. I hugged my father goodbye 2 years ago and it brings a tear to my eye to see her with her dad. So happy Skye will have so much video footage of her grandfather to watch for years to come. It’s amazing how much I adore a family I’ve never met. 😊 Love a town I’ve never been to and think of their friends as my friends. 😊

My Dad turns 90 this year and I so understand your feelings about leaving your Dad. It's just plain hard and sad. Nikki, the charm of the videos you and Carlo make is that you let us into a glimpse of your lives and that doesn't mean it is always sunshine and roses. Your dad is amazing!! I really can't imagine how hard it is for you to leave England every time you go for a visit. We were going to move to Italy years ago when our kids were little but I just couldn't leave my family. Big hugs to you and thanks for letting us into your lives.
Poor Carlo, taking the brunt of his strong woman's breakdown and coming away with a loving smile. I love when Nicki shares her truth and vulnerability. Who among us with a 90-year-old dad, would not endure tumult after throwing him a birthday party, after a month's visit, and then leaving for home, not knowing when or if you'll see him alive ever again. Life does become more precious and precarious at 90. How lucky for Skye that she still has a 90-year-old grandfather to enjoy at her adult age. All of my grandparents died way too early. I loved this video. I love rainy days. Rain gives us our glorious colors on sunny days. As a make-up artist and video producer, Nicki should have more appreciation for rain. The hail? I could do without that.

I turned 80 today. I hope I am as robust as your dad when I turn 90. This video was happy and sad at the same time. Leaving elderly family is always difficult. Harry is such an interesting man I bet he has a million stories to tell. The man who played the part of the door monitor would make a good spy character sitting in a cafe in Casablanca. Loved his hat, Sun glasses and newspaper props.

I loved this vlog Nicki and Carlo! I loved it because of the beauty of the rainy days in the different countries and the moods of different terrains. This was also one of my favorites because I loved celebrating your dad's birthday. I was just as excited as you! Crazy of course but we just love your dad so much. We were amazed when you said 90 years because we thought he was around 65-70. You weren't really mad at Carlo you were just profoundly sad to leave your dad but as you said you will see him again! You have to because he has all these fans in the US missing the coolest dad ever!

We’re all burnt out from the holidays, seeing family, and everyday stress. There was nothing wrong with this video and in fact was exactly what I needed because it was calm, quiet, lots of nice scenery, and realistic. Making content is exhausting! It’s not easy, but at least you are able to travel back and forth easily enough and that is a comfort. (Throw in government embargoes and other challenges and it’s an utter nightmare.) Consider returning more often, perhaps flying back for shorter periods. Whatever your heart requires. I totally enjoy every video you make. None of them have ever been boring, and it was brilliant to see your dad. He does not look 90! Also, I think we all put a bit too much pressure on ourselves. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. But yet, I can identify with the resentfulness that you felt having to leave your birth home to return to Italy. I am a South African who lived in the UK from 2003 to 2013, and every time I went back to South Africa on holiday, and then had to return to the UK, I also felt that sting of "it's just not fair", but we carry on, and do life wherever we are. Please send some of that lovely rain to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. We are experiencing one of the worst droughts on record, and our dams are just about dry. We could really do with a jolly good downpour!

Sometimes in the hustle & bustle of life, we forget the most important component is to live. To pause or slow to a pace so that we can be in the moment. We are, so much to so many. Nicki You are wonderfully honest. Thank you for that. Many people don’t understand the hard side of being an expat even when you are happy to be living in a beautiful place with the man you love. As our parents age it really tugs on the heart. We ended up coming back to my home country after living and working for over 30 years abroad. I’m glad to have been here for my fathers last year and now my mama is 93 and declining rapidly. But not every one gets that. But then I have the heart tug for the lands I called home for so many years and my kids feel a little out of place as they can no longer go to our home overseas. Maybe now that Carlo is retired, and if you can support yourself with your RUclips business you could start splitting your year between the two countries.
Nicki, I hope you're getting good rest in Positano and some of that anxiety has been lifted from you! It was so wonderful of you to plan that surprise party for your dad, even with everything else going on. It looked like he really enjoyed it!

What a lovely celebration for your Dad, he looks fabulous for 90, I’m sure he enjoyed his special day.
Completely understand your feelings in this video. Watching my Dad say goodbye to his family in Italy every year, and seeing it get harder and harder for him each time he left to head back to the UK really hits home and puts a multitude of thoughts into your head around whether he’s made the right decision on what and where he has chosen to call home. Most people would imagine you have the dream life living on the Amalfi Coast (I certainly do) but sometimes you need to do things which make sense for you and maybe sometimes those things are a change of scenery perhaps. Or it was just the terrible British weather exacerbating the situation!
How lovely for your dad🎉 Happy Belated Birthday may you have many more. It’s always sad leaving home, wherever home is I lived in Abu Dhabi for 13 years. It’s still my second home. Holly and indie looked like they had a great time. See you all next Sunday😁xx

We are both Italians and don't have any family in the UK, and it gets tough and lonely for us, and it seems to get only tougher, year after year. Thank you for sharing your feelings. It made me feel less lonely. Also, it showed me that we are not the only mad people travelling through Europe via train/car! Thank you for showing a piece of home here, it is really lovely to see it from the eyes of an English person!
