Thank you for showing us another BTS of living in Positano. Its refreshing to see the lives of "real" people. There is way too much "lux" life on RUclips. This definitely gives me a whole new perspective on local life there and a whole new respect for Francesco and his fellow porters! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Wauwwww Francesco!! I did not know that there were porters in Positano and doing this immense heavy work for 10 hours a day! So much respect for Francesco and the other porters! And he remains so calm and friendly throughout the day. Thank you Nicki and Carlos for paying attention to this very tough job and putting Francesco in the spotlight! 🌟 He deserves this so much! It is not only luggage but all the heavy supplies for shops and hotels and even individuals! Positano needs you desperately Francesco! 👏👏👏 I would give you a big hug when I would see you as I really appreciate these porters (I know as a flight attendant how much heavy these suitcases can be and I so appreciate it when the porters help me with my suitcase) A big hug from The Netherlands 🌷

when I was a child in Positano, there were only two or three porters, one of them Michele was always helping my father to transport all his painting stuff to the studio, they weren't as well organised as today, my kudos and thankfulness to these men! They help to run the town 👏👍🙌

We are two senior citizens who traveled to Positano in the fall of 2021. Our hotel was up the hill, of course, but my husband had great confidence since we had visited years before and knew our way around. We tried several different routes up, but each had more steep stairs than the other (not ramps like in his memory). We ended up back by the beach and I remember a bit of a melt down near Chez Black. Finally we were helped by friendly staff at one boat tour stations who gave us the phone number of the PORTERS. Thank God! They are the best! Thank you for highlighting these local heroes!

It seems like they deserve an awful lot of respect and reward. And for goodness sake, tourists, get out of the way and don't look at them with impatience! Thanks for making these "day in the life" type videos. Very interesting and enlightening.

Respect! A few years ago, my bags were transferred by the Porters from a hotel high on a hill (the Villa Franca) down to the waterfront to put them on the private boat that was taking me to Capri -- I was taken separately by car, then walked the rest of the way down to the beach, delighted to find the bags already on the boat. Thanks so much for profiling these amazing guys, the unseen/under-appreciated fabric of this magical place.

A very good morning to you lovely Nicki & Carlo! It is foggy & cool -5 °C. We have made it halfway through January with quite sensible winter temperatures this year, thankfully. To highlight such a group of men, supporters of Positano, the Porters , is a lovely & thoughtful thing to do. Far too often, the hard work of people who rather are the backbone of an industry are so hidden and invisible they don't receive the acknowledgement they deserve. That's really nice of you! It's also really responsible to the viewers out in RUclips land that must understand if they want to visit Positano they have to be prepared for the vertical experience. Certainly not for the faint of heart 💓 .One really must be in the shape of a cat.🐱. I would guess you probably don't have that many tanky people in Positano. This vlog allowed us to see on the narrow streets, the maze-like entryways to its Positano business world. Like the mule trains for the wood pellets you require, these men are incredibly strong. It is my hope that they are well-compensated for their essential service to the success of Positano! Hope your year is going well! We're just beginning! Ciao!

That was INCREDIBLE! You have such a talent for showing things and people one would never imagine or think about. Amazing. It's like a backstage of a play or film. Things you take for granted and never question why they are like that.
Thank you again for this video. I'll never look at Positano in the same way again! Congratulations. And I hope your week is wonderful.🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱

I visited Positano in 2019 with a friend, we were very grateful for their service. They carried our suitcases up to our hotel & back down again to the ferry when we left. We couldn’t of done it without them. ❤

Oh my God! Bless Francesco and his workers. Imagine doing that with the crowds, heat, narrow streets, steps. I have to say - no one in the USA would ever do a job like that. Seriously, they would go into a safe space and cry. Thank you for sharing this. Carlo, thank you for asking informative questions.

What a job those Porters have and they follow their fathers having done it before. I didn’t know that was Carlo too. Following his father and grandfather before them. It made me smile when Carlo said “I quit”. Meaning his job as caretaker of the cemetery.

Fantastic video! 😮The SIZE of those suitcases!! OMG come on people- stop over packing!
This is another great installment in the series of BTS of real life business in town. We’ve seen the sunglasses place, Luisa, the cakes, handmade shirt for Carlo, the cemetery (of course) the guy in the mountains with the goats, yoga retreat, the ceramics and more. I LOVE 💗 these views into real life!
Thank you for featuring these hard working locals. Amazing 💪🏽

OMGosh !!!! I never knew that the Porters had this kind of job. You don't even think about what they do until you watch something like this.... God Bless these young men,,....God Bless Francesco and the other porters. They must have legs of steel. All those steps...they really get a workout every day. Great job guys !!!

They do an amazing job! It seems that many jobs are sort of passed down like a "family business", also like Carlo working at the cemetery. As much as I'd like to visit, I'm afraid I'm too out of shape to do all the climbing/walking and so I'm very thankful for you sharing your Positano with us!

Amazing! And so sweet, glad that relaxation comes for all of those lovely guys in the winter after so much hard work during summer. I would be so very interested in learning about how all the buildings are created with so many challenges. I guess that would be something the municipality would know about!

As much as I love your videos and look forward to them each week, I would never want to live in Positano because, not only is it too congested for me, but I also couldn't cope with all those steps and the steepness of the rock you live on.
I like the freedom of open spaces.
