Craftsman CMXEOCG472 Garage Door Opener Unboxing and Installation

Paul and I install a Craftsman Garage door opener. This opener is available at Lowe’s and includes 2 remotes, keypad, pushbutton station and myQ wi-fi compatibility.

I have the same 1997 vintage opener. It failed recently. On inspection I found the door travel adjustment and control assembly was hanging loose under the main gear mechanism. I restored the opener to operational status with the travel gear engaged but have not been able to set useable door travel limits. The travel assemble appears to unbroken. Can you offer how to set the initial position of the travel limit contacts? Any help would be appreciated.

@@paulsworkshop4179 Thank you for the reply. The problem I have is with the type of travel limit mechanism shown at about 40 seconds along the video timeline. I hope to find information about how that system controls travel. I am unable to locate initial settings of the two travel contacts.
