Back in the 80's I worked as a union extra on Remington Steel and myself and 3 other extras were sitting on the grass in a park in between setups and Pierce walked over with a director's chair and sat with us! He was absolutely delightful and we were in awe of him. Genna Davis was the guest star but I didn't meet her. Imagine Pierce sitting with us extras! I will never forget it!
You are right, Talent do not mix with extras - at the bottom of the pecking order. (Um, I was an extra once on a show I hated, “Charlies Angels”. My friend was an AD and begged me to show up because the union had run low on extras. I think I appeared for one second. But I made my friend happy.)
He is awfully awfully delicious by any measurement I could watch Bond movies forever but now he's my favorite he's so cool and learns new thing and ideas in this world as well as on screen. And he's yummy, did I mention that?🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I always thought he was BORN to play Bond! The scene where he's driving the tank, hears something, pauses to try to figure out what it was, then goes back to what he was doing--I love that. So single-minded!
At the start of the pandemic, when the fate of the world was a little uncertain, Pierce Brosnan did a live RUclips watchalong of GoldenEye from his home on Hawaii. This was a very thoughtful act, to set aside two hours to do a live commentary for everyone stuck at home during the early days of covid. Brosnan didn't have to do it, he didn't represent the studio or anyone else, he just wanted to find a way to keep us entertained while we were all locked inside. A very humble man. Thank you Mr. Brosnan. Yes, you can still watch the WatchAlong on RUclips.
I lived in Malibu at one time and I would run into him at times. Had the same dermatologists and he was always a gentleman and humble. He is a very nice person and loves his family deeply. 🙏
I ran into him in Malibu as well. At a restaurant called "Bambu". He actually tried to make out with me. Not sure if he was married then, it was around 1995. I refused and thought it was kind of creepy, to be honest.
For youngsters out there who don't know yet, this man's loyalty to his wife is legendary. He was and still is a very handsome man. He had been a successful TV actor back then (the male lead on the Remington Steel series) when he was first offered to play James Bond. He rejected the offer to accompany his wife (Cassandra Harris, a former Bond girl) who had to do chemotherapy. The nurses said that Pierce never left his wife's room unless to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, Cassandra lost the battle with cancer. Pierce mourned his deceased wife for so long, until his stepchildren urged him to date again. They even set several blind dates for him. When he finally married again, everybody was happy. His second wife, Keely Shaye Smith, was a journalist and an activist. There was a period when Keely was overweight and people were bashing her, saying that she was not worthy of him, or that he was stupid for not looking for a prettier/thinner woman. Pierce defended his wife fiercely, and stayed loyal throughout the ordeal. I couldn't imagine any other actors who would do the same if they were put in the same situation.
don't doubt the devotion to his wife, but I heard Pierce say in an interview the reason he first had to decline the role of Bond was because he was still under contract with Remington Steele. That's why Timothy Dalton got the part.
I'm 73 now, but I remember watching Remington Steele every week. When he became James Bond, I was elated. He's still gorgeous and his love for his wife is incredible. He's truly an amazing man (and still drop dead gorgeous 😍 ♥️)!!
Once in Barcelona, I was actually standing beside Salvador Dali, in front of a new Picasso Museum. And yes, there was his magical mustache on display but not the crazed look, which was, I expect, a marketing tool/ affectation. He was a very clever business man who knew exacty what he was doing. An unforgettable moment for me. Thanks to artist Guillermo for sparking my memory.
I loved “Remington Steele” (sp?) but really, really loved him in “Thomas Crown Affaire” with Rene Russo, and Dennis Leary. Also, thought he made a great 007.
Jimmy Kimmel your show with Pierce Bronson was one of your all time best! Jimmy Kimmel you do know how to be nice when you want to and James Bond is always a great guest!
The young lady did a fantastic portrait of Brosnan. She really should get back into her art as she’s still got it. Reminds me of my daughter who can paint, sketch, play guitar, bass, piano, flute and the cello. And sing! Some ppl are just born with the gift, but it must be nurtured. Im proud of the job I did with her, and very proud of my little girl(woman). And Brosnan, he was always handsome. I tend to think of him in Mrs. Doubtfire the most, when he choked on a shrimp. 🤣. RIP Robin Williams. ❤️
VCR that's when my toddler was little we got JAWS and we were just watching in the afternoon. Didn't see the kid paying attention to the movie. Time for bath and bed. Went to put him in the TUB and he screamed like I was trying to get him ate. Showers from then on, second kid cured him from baths. I wouldn't recommend my methods but we all live and learn. I am the proud mom of two thoroughly skeptical and require proof sons. They're both so Greek ! ! Also Pierce is just charmingly and physically gorgeous man. That Irish brogue fire, Irish eyes smiling all good!❤❤❤
@@bonita1228 it's funny especially living in Nevada which is landlocked desert state! Parents and kids we all survived impossible odds of our making! 😁❤🌎
Pierce is so handsome, snart, and talented. I love love love him. Remington Steele was my favorite program. Priece was so handsome and debonair. Great and entertaining interview, Jimmy. I love Pierce. All the paintings were great, but hers was the best. He should take them all.
Dang, Pierce is still sexy as ever. I am 66 & remember being gobsmacked by him in Remington Steele & his Bond was equally delicious. And Mama Mia was so good. Personally, I liked the psychedelic painting. Just saying. The first guy did a great 'walk thru.' of his painting. It's a fun segment. No way could I participate & if be paralyzed in horror to show off the mess that would result. They all did pretty dang great, considering & they were so easy with their work. Congrats all. BTW Pierce's Wife, Keely is beautiful. Pierce married well. 2x. Jimmy is a truly funny man. I'm always surprised at his clever ad libs, usually you kinda know what the host is going to say. His writing team is phenomenal.
Happy Birthday Pierce Brosnan. UR awesome legend. I love Die Another Day, The World is not Enough, and GoldenEye is awesome. Watching spy movies is pretty kool...! Mars Attacks is great. As in the Geena Davis?
Now you know why, this interview, he admits his success was very quick. He probably felt lucky around you guys..
It's an Irish thing

I love Pierce Brosnan, he is such a wonderfully talented man and so genuine, not to mention the best Bond ever!
Yes he was a great Bond. BUT NOONE WILL EVER TOP MR. CONNERY...even Mr. BROSN AN SAID THAT! BROSNAN IS JUST A CLASSY MAN..PPINT BLANK
I always thought he was BORN to play Bond! The scene where he's driving the tank, hears something, pauses to try to figure out what it was, then goes back to what he was doing--I love that. So single-minded!
@Melowese Evans well I have my opinion and you have yours, agree to disagree 🙂
Brosnan was a good bond, but the best would have to be connery or craig in my opinion.
@@christina7991 o.k! But I still say Connery...lol. have a great day!
Pierce is a class act and total gent, he filmed here locally and was lovely to everyone. No ego no drama just a really lovely bloke.

70 and he still handsome as ever ❤️🙏🏽🥰. Pierce and his wife make a good couple. God Bless 🙏🏽.
I was going to make a comment but you nailed it 👍
He and Keanu Reeves are the rare breed.
Not 70 yet lol
I've enjoyed Pierce's work over the years. Always the gentleman.
I loved him in the movie Mama Mia with Meryl Streep. He can sing too🥰. Still very handsome
Lol, his singing was insanely horrible! But somehow it made him even more adorable. Yes, handsome. No, he cannot sing.
I hit the Like button the minute Jimmy said Pierce Brosnan! We were all blessed with that man being a part of our lives!
Pierce is still absolutely gorgeous and seems such a lovely man!
Is it possible for Pierce Brosnan to look anymore handsome as a Silver Fox!?!? Um, yes he can! His art though is amazing!!!
Thank you so much dear

Sadly, me either.
Hugh Jackman is wonderful as well
Also, Cassandra's daughter (Brosnan's adoptive daughter) also died of ovarian cancer when she was one year younger than when her mother passed away.
Yes Pierce is a very genuine guy
And of course he's Irish 😂😂

Great show !!!! Love this man and his wife!!!!
Hes a great actor. Will watch anything he is in. Wish they would bring him back as bond for one more film
Me too
My favorite 007. This man's personality is the secret to why he's so awesome on screen. Great actor!
Mine is Roger Moore. But Pierce Brosnan is superb as 007.
Pierce chose my favorite, which makes me happy. Well done 👏👏👏
I never missed an episode of Remington Steele. Back then I felt that he would be a great Bond.
I wanted to be Bond back then too.

Remington “Still” has a lot of hair!
Omg the portraits were hilarious. Love Brosnan he is definitely a fine wine and great artist, so much talent. 👍🏻
That was so good. Big fan of Pierce forever.❤
Pierce Brosnan is the coolest, most charming, and charismatic actor ever! ❤❤❤😊

Hes like a wine! Or may be better as he just doesn't age at all! Matt Le Blanc and Pierce Brosnan show us how to wear grey/white hair gracefully!
And George Clooney too but Pierce is definitely the most handsome.

My late dad was a hard critic of tv and Remington Steele was his favorite show we watched it all the time great memories of dad having fun!
I came here for the GORGEOUS, gracious, and clearly multi-talented Pierce Brosnan -- husband of lovely, lucky Keely. How can one man be so beautiful?

Huge crush on Pierce. 💙🌹
She actually did a great job. She should keep painting.
My Remington Steele ❤
Fishhook is excellent. It has a van Gogh type of emotional quality, yet not as intense of course. The print he gave Jimmy goes for $4-5,000 usd.
