The church building on the corner of Ryhope rd was Christ church a Sikh temple for a good number of years now. Across the road from it, the ornate looking tower once belonged to the university Langham Tower, in its origins a shipwright owned it.

@@awalkwithcoffeeneil Hylton Castle restored SR5 3PA. Penshaw monument at the top of a very steep hill DH4 7NJ although it has a Durham postcode it is still Sunderland, before 1974 it was County Durham district as was Sunderland. We also have the Glass centre not far from Sunderland bridge SR6 0GL. Close by is St Peters church dated AD674 in SR6 0DY.
