Jordan, I'd love to see a video on the current approach to city-centre planning and building in England. What are the main challenges that face contemporary planners and how do their approaches address these challenges? What are the broader ideas and interests that underlie the various developments that feature in your videos?

The city centre itself around the bridges is quite run down too. It’s a shame really. I walked through Mowbray park for the first time the other week and I was very surprised at how clean and well kept it is though! Great video too!

I was born in South Shields and I spent quite a bit of my youth in Sunderland. The nightlife there was fabulous and I had many a good night there. Roker Park was a landmark and steeped in history. Sunderland has always been left behind in my humble opinion. The Bridges shipping centre has never been huge success. Sunderland has much to offer I feel but investment and development as you quite rightly state Jordon needs to raised several gears. Good video .

in all these 'regeneration' projects, they all have in common the dead architecture that plagues the modern world. i do not really belive that an area can be truly nice to be in unless your buildings are aesthetically pleasing to some extent and not just out to make money

How strange that Vaux Breweries closed with the loss of 300 jobs whilst being a profitable and going concern. There's something dodgy going on there.

Would be cool if you could do a video on the "quayside west" development. I'm not sure if its happening though since the company went into administration under the summer. Looks like prime real estate and cool what they did on the other side of the river with the dunston staiths housing.

A correction - Argos has moved into Sainsburys. And as of a few weeks time of this comment M&S will be closing down and oppening a new store in the Galleries. The council have killed the centre by constantly ramping up the parking charges.

The area at 11:30 is abandoned because approximately 400+ bodies were buried underneath.
