    In this video, Adam explains how a golfer should rotate in order to free up their golf swing. In many old teachings, the golfer is told to rotate the lead shoulder down to the ball which ultimately restricted the rotation and leads to back pain. But the proper way to rotate is to turn around the spine angle where the shoulder turns about 1 to 2 feet over the ball. Try this tip and see how free your rotation will feel!

      GOLFTEC is an institution that promotes improper shoulder tilt. They actually measure more tilt as positive lol. Has been messing me up for months.

    Great video, just what I needed! Adam's comment at the 3:13 mark was spot on what I was trying to do. No wonder my QL is so sore. Just shattered Hogan's plane of glass ceiling. I had so many pros tell me that the five lessons has screwed up a bunch of swings. Thanks, Adam! I'm a full swing master class member - you need to throw this video up on the Turn to the Top category.

    OMG!!! I have been trying to take my shoulder down the target line for 35+years!! I’ve pulled my back getting frustrated and jerking my lower forward leaving my upper behind……trying to start the lower first and being MAD while doing so! This was a week before I found the Hip Bump and Adam’s channel! I will heal and do it right from now on. All other instructions I’ve taken are history!

    Adam, is this the same with the irons? Your student asked the question but the answer was cut off

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  2 месяца назад +2

      Yes it is the same! Look at any golfer and pause the video at the top of the swing. You’ll see the shoulder plane goes well above the ball

    I had been pinch watching videos for the last 2 weeks or more and man you are the man. So many swing theories out there that l tried but not for me. I'm am not bashing any of them lm just not mobile enough to do those octopus moves. I had taken some of the swing mechanics l learned to the range and thank you thank you! I smack the bee gees out of the ball with less effort and the sound/feel of compression is the best. I left the game 15 years ago and last fall l picked up the club again. After going through the body soreness because of the muscles l haven't use and now being use on working on my swing. I was a 5 when l left now had established 10.5 after 12 rounds and thank you. I'm back lol. Thank you and keep up the Great Work!!! 👏👏👏

    Important to ensure the down the toe line takeaway (hinge, etc) is secure during this move or the player’s arm will move away and dip the club inside. Lead shoulder moves out instead of down and around.

    Great video Adam. True life saver in terms of golf game. Curious to the relationship between grip and being more connected at back swing. Found when I fixed my grip my swing felt shorter and stronger almost, with more club face control. Thanks!

    Very good reminder how to turn in the driver! I guess the feeling with irons is similar, but you are a bit more bent over towards the ball (due to shorter shaft). Somehow correct? Thanks.

    This explains a lot about why my turn feels so constricted and difficult. I work with a great instructor, but he teaches pointing the shoulder at the ball. I can do it, but it ALWAYS feels tight and unnatural, and I swear it's costing me yards off the tee and on the fairway. I'm playing a round today and I'm going to give this a try on the range first. My only question is what happens when I can no longer see the ball over my lead shoulder in my backswing. Does it matter?

    Per your driver video: the back swing Is (level) around you not high with the arms. The transition wasn’t mentioned except to stay level turning through What power through the ball swings the club up and through? Thanks 😍

    this might help most of us hitting driver, but pretty sure the " T " spine alignment will have to lower towards the ball, as the irons get progressively shorter... please correct me if I am wrong...thanks

    I think I might be pointing to far down to the ball on the turn. I'll level it out a bit. I've been working hard on the tall to small. It's starting to sink in. Good video. Thanks for posting.

    What I don't understand is how the club can go straight back (one piece takeaway) while rotating the shoulders this way.

    It is definitely more comfortable/natural to rotate this way instead of aiming the shoulders directly at the ball
