A lot different when Rick is dealing with someone in his same league.
Actually when it comes to coins, Rick is minor league compared to a guy like Hendelson.
it was cool to see rick on the other side of the "coin".
But he wasn't though, he was still buying like he does on the show.
Yes, but in this case, he really wants to buy it. Whereas on the show, he doesn't feel any pressure to make a deal. But then again, he already has a buyer with a solid offer guaranteeing a profit of 2k+ So... I guess you are right...
Nope. I still think Ric was in control.
Not really, there is no way he would settle for 70k on his buyer, thats just the initial offer for him looking
Haha that's funny
Opens it up, and it has chocolate inside . . .
ANTHONY GRAINGE or solid gold...
@@mrnarason its not solid, 0.900
ANTHONY GRAINGE hilarious 😂
White chocolate
i wish.
Plot twist: the guy doesn't want the coin anymore
Actually he sold it for 75 grand.
spllitz I would absolutely ask for cash upfront before doing this for that very reason
Someone would want it anyway
"Rick, I bought one for $40K. It was cleaned, but I don't really care about that. The price was right."
Double Plot Twist: It was a piece of chocolate in gold foil.
When he said 70k I thought Rick was gonna offer 45k lmfao
He knewed with whom he's dealing with.
Ricks on a mission here.
He only does that with his customers who are desperate for money. Those coin dealers aren't desperate, hence why he comes correct.
Let me call a buddy of mine. He's an expert in 1915 Panama coins.
This is a negotiation between 2 professionals, so you're not really gonna see any of that.
they both know what it is and what it's worth
im supposed to say that not you buddy
Jonathan Bohn I
Technically he does ,The beard of knowledge..
They call the expert and the phone rings of the guy selling it.
"Making a little money is a lot better than making no money." Nice line!
I actually think that they could do a show of Rick going around buying stuff from shops like that. That would be a very interesting show to watch
You have a great idea..
Will you take 65 thousand? Ummm no. Freaking boss!
I had it cleaned and framed and graded. I took all the risk- man behind the counter
At that ignorance the guy wouldn’t find a buyer though lol
Exactly right - and no counteroffer. Finally, someone who knows how to negotiate.
@@DkNy2kX It wasn't cleaned
Let me call in my friend Eddie Van Halen, he wrote the song "Panama".
lmao
I know right!!! Had me laughing my ass off.
And Alex, Micheal and David
Better hurry , he doesnt have much time left !
RIP Eddie...
I've seen this clip many times, I know what happens, I know the history, yet I continue to watch it.
rick always exhales when he hears the price😤
its called bad acting for tv show. Remember he isn't a actor, so when doing the shoots, editing, rehersals, etc most of the guys aren't quite that polished and do the overacting thing a bit too much.
Did anyone notice this is the same guy that was selling the George Washington suit for three million dollars
Yes and calls him his friend. ALL SCRIPTED.
Yes he was!
These people are famous collectibles dealers
The guys with the white shirt came in the shop to give his review on another coin. trip LOL!
Yep
I can’t believe the second guy has been to his shop many times and didn’t recognise him straight away
When rick explains what his looking for, i feel goosebumps in my heart
Might want to see a cardiologist for that condition
"I"m not making any Money" clerk "I'm not either" lol Love that answer
After the plane ticket and hotel room, Rick made like 50 dollars lol
And also his ticket and hotel room were paid for by the History Channel for the show
You think he went to the coin show just for that one coin? Ah, no. He likely bought and sold many coins that day.
Table turns on Rick
Guy was asking $70,000 so, Rick should have offered him $1.96 and told him he would have to have it cleaned and framed, and then, it might sit around his shop for a year or more, etc. Ha ha.
Pirate Labs and he's taking a huge risk for it
You don’t clean coins lmao
Cleaning the coin would lower the value drastically
@@KingDusk278 why :/
HeavenHammer because cleaning the coin would damage the coin as some elements that can’t only be removed by taking some of the coin with it. Also messing with the natural state of the coin lowers its value as coin collectors prefer it in its aged formed than it being tampered
The first dude always be popping up on pawn stairs with the best things
good to see a negotiator just as good as rick
Seller of the improperly cleaned coin was actually called by Rick to be an expert on one other episode
It’s Jeff Garrett.Former president of the ANA
Rick's customer actually offered $90k, I bet.
Because there's money to be made
It was 70 get your head straight
earlycommemorativecoins.com/1915-panama-pacific-exposition-50-gold/
1st Seller: Anything I can do to help, let me know.
Rick: *thinking “yeah lower your price you jackass
It’s funny how two guys he goes to buy a coin off of become his experts down the road lol
Similar with one of his sports guys who started as a customer.
Same seller as the George Washington 3 million dollar suit
J Cee Dudes got money
Exactly
Muy buen video!! :)
Rick knows how to take care of his good customers!!!!
That’s a sweet coin.
As a courtesy .. from One coin guy .. to Another .. I love it!
0:14 that face
You know the business i am in, I am not making a lot of money!
Buys a 67.500 USD coin
LOL his face at 0:14 when buyers are buying coins and don't know what it is worth
That comb over is epic
That “other guy” is the president of the American Numismatic Association
Nice!
I like how Rick struggles every time he tries to say the name of the coin 😂 0:23 0:36 1:30
Nice Coin 😀👍
At 2:32 finally someone stands up to Rick. Yes!
That coin is my dream coin
That was smart business move 💣💕
Both of these guys have been on pawn stars 🤣 the dismy guy and Washington cloths guy.
I love coin shows
Beautiful coin
LINDO VIDEO OBRIGADA
I love how rick negotiated with him like their in his shop.
So nice wark
It looks dope af
"big money buyers" aka Rick's friends
From strangers, to customers, to experts
Oh.,a Coin show....sounds sooo fun
I was at a wedding in SF one of the old ladies had a necklace made of eight of those coins. A bit over the top but spectacular.
it doesn't get any more beautiful than that.
That one coin could literally buy a small house.....
Zombie Prodigy “It could buy a large house back then, son.
R.I.P. old man
That would be one small house.
Better take that deal yo 😆
He should make a shirt with him going “ppphheeww”” out his mouth like ALWAYS
That is one beautiful looking coin
THATS The same guy with the Washington suit
Rhys1911 s d the Paul revere spoon
The first guy Rick went to wasn't that the guy who tried selling Rick George Washington suit?
For the Rick's personal collection nice added
The guy with the George Washington suit and the Paul Revere spoons.
Rick!
This guy has millions of dollar worth collections.
He has $2M George Washington’s suit that Rick almost bought
Rick has skills to pay the bill for sure
I have a 5p coin minted in 2016 an a US dollar quarter in 2015 I'm selling both for 1.25 million ... in 1000 years you'll see it was a very wise investment
These guys will come on to the show more often
I bet that coin never gets lost.
I'm so glad they don't use actors I've seen before on this show.
I wonder if Rick will ever find someone who deals in early American history.
Mr.brown loved that coin famously
First guy is the one who had the George Washington clothing in Boston. Second guy looked familiar too.
No one is gonna talk about the fact that both of the guys have been on pawn stars multiple times before this
I need to start collecting something
That’s a beautiful coin
Why doesn’t the “improperly cleaned” guy take it out of the case, wait a few years, then get it re-graded again?
Rick: "That other coin was cleaned."
Guy 1 (thinking): "Yeah, I cleaned it."
I know this is almost certainly a joke but on the off chance it isn't there's no way anybody with an ounce of intelligence would clean this coin, never mind someone like Jeff Garrett at a coin show like this.
Those coins were made by Victorian watch case makers as private gold issues in the 1850s. The U.S.decided on a "Remake" half a Century later. Nostalgia for the Gold Rush era became more pronounced from 1948 on, as California entered a golden age involving suburbanization and defense spending tech & building.
These coin guys are the shrewdest negotiators
The first guy is the same one with the Washington suit and Paul Revere spoons
PCGS-The company who graded that coin, lists it as being worth $80,000 currently inMS 62. In mint state 66+ - just four big ticks higher- That same exact coin sold recently for $288,000.00 Rick actually got a good deal.
“Anything I can do to help, let me know”
“Umm ok, drop the price to $65,000 please”
Lol
“Um, no.”
If you put subtitules, the visits goes to up a lot, América latina love this show
Plot twist: the customer is the guy that Rick bought the coin from
"I got to make a profit here"
id have said "not my problem"
He does though.... do you not understand how the business works lol.
Funny that the two sellers later showed up in other episodes
Literally seen both these sellers on his show before... something fishy here
stienerrecliner they are both very well known
They are very well recognized in the coin world.
It's almost like...merchants of a specific trade...continue to...trade...in that trade......
Reece A THATS a insult to coin community
I think it's where they met maybe ! Coz this dates on 2015
found one on amazon for $12
Edelweiss Tomner it fake
Edelweiss Tomner You got ripped off, I got like 5 for $1, when I removed the wrapper it was a chocolate coin underneath😋
+Maravilaa I bet my life that never happened.
That one must be cleaned a lot!
Edelweiss Tomner lmao!
Thats Jeff. That must be where they first met. In season 14 Rick bought a 1838 Gobrecht silver dollar from him at the "shop"
Both of the sellers appear regularly on Pawn Stars.
The seller was also the guy that tried to sell the Washington suit
The second guy with the coin looks familiar like one of Ricks expert
hahaha Rich is OWNED by the other guy
rick laughs like a hyena.
STAGED
Does any one know what “coin guide” book he was looking at 0.18min.
The auction catalog
Finally, someone who knows how to negotiate.
Lowball me at the shop......never again
Both guys have sold stuff on the show too.
Rick has never done paperwork a day in his life
If I was as rich as him neither would i
The second seller was in an episode and sold Rick a coin!
He did!
"I'm not making a lot of money"
*Makes millions*
