- Enjoy the complete virtual 360 POV experience of Avatar Flight of Passage with spatial audio! Located at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom inside Pandora: The World of Avatar, Flight of Passage is a 3D flying simulator attraction that allows guests to take flight on a native mountain Banshee and soar across the landscape of Pandora. In the attraction's storyline, the humans and Na'vi are attempting to restore the banshee population to natural levels, after the mining tactics caused by the Resources Development Administration generations prior. Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) has reactivated the avatar program through the Pandora Conservation Initiative as a method of conducting research, and allows guests to link with an avatar to fly on an Ikran (known as a "Banshee" by humans) to partake in the Na'vi's tribal coming-of-age tradition. Set within the remains of a former Resources Development Administration facility, the attraction invites guests into the ACE lab where guests are linked to an "avatar" and fly aboard a banshee across the Valley of Mo'ara.
This video has been captured in immersive 360° to watch on your mobile device, desktop or VR headset. It has been rendered in stunning 8K 360° with audio that has been captured in true 3D spatial 360° audio (ambix) using a Zoom H3 VR microphone. Ambisonics is a full-sphere surround sound format that will allow you to experience sound in all directions. It's the next best thing to being there!

This is a 360º interactive video! Click and drag to pan camera in any direction or simply move your mobile device/tablet to look around. Be sure to select the highest streaming quality on your device for best viewing experience (2160s in most cases for mobile, 4320s for 8K 360 desktop viewing if your computer can handle it). You can also experience this with a VR headset through RUclips's app. 360º views are supported on mobile RUclips App, Firefox & Chrome Browsers. Also now supported on newer SmartTVs using the RUclips app (at 1440p or 4K resolution). For iOS users, the video may need to be viewed in the RUclips app to enable 360º movement.
Recorded with the GoPro Max (protune on: ISO Min100/Max1600, EV -2) at 30fps captured at 6K with 360 audio (ambix) and edited together in ProRes format/ upscaled to 8K 2D 360 using Adobe Premiere. Immersive audio captured with ZOOM H3-VR microphone for 3D spatial 360° audio
Regarding true resolution of an 8K 360° video:
Unlike standard videos, in a 360° video you can view only a part of original image (approximately 30-90 degrees out of 360). As result, the real resolution of the part you can see isn't bigger than 1.3K--2K (or slightly better than 1080p HD). At time of publishing this video, 8K 360 is the max resolution RUclips can play. Hopefully someday RUclips will support 16K 360 video allowing for true 4K VR resolution and affordable cameras will exist to capture that :).

Too bad the 3D makes the visuals blurry/double. I wonder if it would work if I bought a pair of passive 3d glasses ?
Thank you for watching my friend and glad you found our channel! That’s the bummer about trying to capture this ride because it projects in 3D and you need their special glasses to get the 3D effect. Unfortunately I don’t think regular passive 3D glasses would work because the screen Disney utilizes is active in making the 3D imagery work. I’d love for them to do away with 3D glasses and allow us to experience the ride in 3D without them! Universal Studios has used that technology on their Fast and Furious ride. 🙂
@@RelaxingReality Thanks for your reply ! You're probably right, it seems that they use some special kind of active 3D. Of course, it's meant to be experienced as a simulator attraction but I hope someday they'll release it as a VR headset app to show it to my friends and family, cause we'll probably never be able to go to Disney World 😅

Best version on RUclips so far. My mother is handicapped and can't do this ride, this will make her happy
