The current market/economy is unnecessarily tougher for boomers/senior citizens, I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
Just buy and invest in Gold or other reliable stock , the government has failed us and we cant keep living like this.
Yes, gold is a great investment and a good bet against the devaluating dollar, been holding some for awhile now, I’m grateful my adviser’s moment by moment changes in the market are lightening quick, cos who know how much losses I would’ve had by now.

Don’t be fooled stocks are not the economy, I had 250k put aside waiting for the fed to stop raising rates. Now I want to get back into the markets, but the hike might continue and stocks will still climb, I’m confused on how to strategise and happy to discuss.
The stock market will go down further and goodluck on the fed pausing rate hikes w/ all the hawkishness that has failed to keep up with inflation.
If the unemployment rate is able to remain steady while the Fed hikes and inflation falls back to target, a soft landing might be on the table
Don’t expect a soft landing. We know inflation still far from its 2% destination - the FOMC didn’t raise rates now, we can never fortell their moves these days
Fixed income Tbills and bonds may work for you while you try to figure out the next entry point for stocks
I agree It’s always good to have a balanced fin-plan. I work with a professional planner multi mrkt and fixed-income strategist in NY. the fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income.
Investing in this economy is a hell at times for the average person that wants full control of their finances, Even investing in ETF stocks can be risky.
I gotta admit, I took a hit in the profit department with my stock moves.
The question to be asked at times is not if the government or the economy is responsible for the sudden dramatic shifts in the economy but if we are taking the necessary measures to avoid making losses no matter the situation even if the pay roll is not in your favor.
One of the reasons i follow up these stock videos is to improve the returns of my investments and i can’t really say I’ve been seeing noticeable change though …. I’ll keep following to improve my investment philosophy.
What would you consider the necessary measures though? I was at a seminar two days ago where investors gave their opinions on how we can better investment for proper returns.
At times not just creating smart investments but buying assets can improve your profit margins in the long run.

Our inflation US war will stay longer as long as the low housing supply and high insurance premiums remain. Single family homes need to be built to accommodate demand. Insurance companies need to be investigated for being greedy! If we keep ignoring these two sectors ALL else is just noice.

Pls always use the following format when giving a prediction: bla…bla…blaaaaa…….However. considering the geopolitical situation. it's likely things would not go that way, when you take the coming election into the calculation, nobody should be shocked when it goes the opposite direction!
This choppy decline shows numerous overlaps which makes it highly suspect from a technical perspective (Based on Elliott-wave theory) that it would be the start of a larger decline. I think next week will show new support...
