    Feel sorry for him...at Goldman they have tons of data, still they couldn't realise oil price will go down. I think they were in love with their idea and never let it go

    As the late Charlie Munger used to say, “never sell.” In doing so you avoid the cyclical issue of downturns in the market. Leaving me in a dilemma of either to sell off positions on my $2m portfolio or buying more brk.a and b on the dip?

    • @AUstinnesc
      @AUstinnesc 5 месяцев назад +1

      Don't sell; avoiding trying to time the market and incurring unnecessary taxes. Stay grounded and focus on the long term! you can alternatively seek guidance from a proper advisor for accurate strategies

      No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q3 2024.

    It's easy to be a commodities veteran. Just keep saying that oil will go higher from here. Sometimes you'll be right and sometimes you'll be wrong but nobody will care.

  • @bps7209

    We will be drilling for oil as long as the world turns. If you want the reality of it all.
    Investing in energy and commodities is still a no brainer.
    The largest banks made 3 billion in profits in 2023 bond underwriting and loan provisions on green green energy. Go figure that one out.

    Why are drillships and harsh weather semis pricing at increasing day rates if offshore is of no interest? I argue there is space for offshore investment and US shale does not meet marginal demand alone (beyond Saudi and Russia)

    FACTS - Central banks aren’t stockpiling copper ; they are and have been for over three years stockpiling PHYSICAL GOLD - for a reason ! Now India and China are starting to stockpile into THE most undervalued commodity on earth - PHYSICAL SILVER ! It’s now over 50% below its all time high ; and gold IS AT its all time high . Silver happens to be in a fourth year global deficit …
