I love the postamble. Okay, that probably isn't a word, but it should be.

Postamble should definitely be a word. Glad you enjoyed it!

I don't know why but this revelation excited me so much at 6:30
I don't care I'll say it and I'll say it proud!
THE PHYSICS WORKS AHUH AHUH THE PHYSICS WORKS!!!

Looks great! Excellent visuals (with the cylinders of water drawn in). I'm glad you stuck to it (premoistened strings included!) to make that demo happen. I wish I taught fluids! :/

You are absolutely welcome. I am glad I stuck with it as well. It was worth it in the end.

Very good. Note, the negative sign is determined by the choice of the coordinate system. If you are using +y = up, that the weight of the rock points down, therefore is negative. The buoyant force points up in the +y direction, therefore is positive. The physics does not care about the coordinate system, but whenever you solve a problem, you should identify the positive and negative directions so that you know which sign to apply to each force.

Valid point. In my videos we follow the standard coordinate system, unless otherwise identified.

7:47 Eureka! Nice reference to Archimedes' bath

Thanks. It was a bit subtle, but fun to put in there.
