People don't remember this but Manning was a turnover machine. He has 251 career regular season interceptions. His career TD to INT ratio was only slightly better than 2:1. If I had to guess on the spot I would have guessed 3:1 or 4:1 but it just wasn't that good. He had double digit INTs every year of his career except one. He went over 20 twice and had 19 another time. That many INTs for a guy with a career completion percentage of 65% is weird. But we've all seen enough of his games to know he would make a bonehead pass pretty much every game. But that is probably just how it is when you run that type of offense. And before we try and judge Brissett based on the playoffs, remember Peyton didn't win a playoff game until his 4th trip. In fact, in the 15 trips he made to the playoffs, he was 1 and done 9 times. That is the difference between guys like Manning and Brady, Montana, etc. In Brady's 16 trips to the playoffs, he was 1 and done only twice. Just things to keep in mind when someone tries to justify how good or bad they claim a QB is. There are clearly different levels of greatness.

jonesyrdu Peyton Manning is 3-2 all time vs Brady in the playoffs, he had to get used to 4 different offenses and made it to super bowls under 4 different coaches. You’re just a sysTom humper. Peyton is the better passer and it frightens me to think of what he would’ve done under BB (who is the reason for Tom Brady)

Oh, 1 last thing. If Chad Kelly can keep his head straight (big if) that kid has got what they call "it"!
If you had no idea who he was or what's been going on w/him & you were watching pre-season? Wow! He looked like the best qb on the roster during pre-season.
Athletic, accurate, cannon arm, can throw on the run, rifle it in tight, just about anything he did he made it look easy. Before people start on me, not saying I'm expecting anything. Just keep an eye & ear on this kid & pray for him. If he flies straight the Colts are more set for years to come than anybody realizes.

same with Jaxson whats the longest career in prime highlite as a top for a mobile qb not that long at all little over a season a qb that takes the beating of a running back when name of the game is protect the qb there are other positions to get the yards that they do on the run with out sinking your ship on one bad drive that ends your career or makes you less of what you were well there is willson however his pass game is miricals to wich means he runs less then pass

This aged really well, Pat knows what he is talking about. Look at what happened to Baker this week. Baker got lit up this weekend all on 7 step drops. Mahomes is amazing, but his ankle got hurt this week. Really hurt his mobility and ability to be successful. Best part, Brissett and the Colts are the team that won because of it. This makes you look like a genius Pat hahah

You can tell he has a rocket for an arm and many throws with the pats were just thrown slightly too hard, but you could feel he was on the cusp of making things work, he just needed a bit more time. Will he outlast Mahomes? i dont know if i can see that right now, but it would not shock me if the colts make him their franchise quarterback and make the playoffs this year

Pre-season I saw some bogus NFL article saying that the Titans had the best QB situation with Tannehill as a back up. I'm a Titans can, but still had to instantly think of Jacoby behind Luck in Indy as well as Bridgewater in NOLA. Jacoby's definitely underrated, but that's a good thing.

The TB12 treatment 🤣 Pat's fan here and Jacoby is underrated. I always wanted him to be Tom's #2. I loved seeing him get a chance to play and run with that ball. If it wasn't for getting Dorsett in the trade, I would be salty with Bill about that trade. We still root for him in Pats nation. Give him time and be patient to develope into a leader on and off the field. It has only been a few games he will get better and better. #avocadoup up Jacoby. I'm sending you TBs snack packs 🤣🤣🤣

The Arians offense is suited toward Baker's big arm, but NOT toward his skill-set as a quick decision maker or the skill-set of a suspect offensive line. They need more motion in the backfield and shorter route concepts so Baker can sling it. They have enough talent to break big plays from short receptions: see Baker improvising with Beckham against the Jets for 89 yards.

I used the rg3, Vince young, Tim Tebow analogy about Lamar Jackson last season. All those guys were “projection picks”. They got drafted high based on the type of player they might grow into. All of them ran simplified offenses designed to maximize their abilities in their first year as starters. Where lamar has separated himself from rg3,young, Tebow, is in his continued growth of skills as a passer, and his ability to execute an expanded offense to the point where the ravens can have complex gameplans, based on their opponents. Those other guys never filled the holes in their game, and it limited their teams offenses to “playing checkers on the chessboard”. As far as mahomes, mayfield, or lamar, I still give it to lamar Jackson because of his physical talents, lamar can continue to improve his throwing mechanics, gamesmanship, and ability to read defenses, but mahomes is never gonna grow into 4.4 speed, mayfield isn’t gonna have a growth spurt and be 6’4” next year. Lamar can acquire their skillsets if he puts in the work, but they can’t acquire his god given talent. If you mention jacoby brisket, I think you have to throw teddy bridgewater out there as well, he’s a lot better passer than people think, and he’s a really good learner who has been sitting behind an all time great qb, and working with a top notch offensive coaching staff for the last year and a half. That’s my silly 2 cents on the subject.
