Micah was better than Myles last year and Myles won DPOY so I wouldn’t say Micah is too overhyped
@xansmoker8834 Micah also disappears in every big game he plays in (esp the playoffs), where as TJ takes over the game in the biggest moments. TJ's numbers alone clear Micah, nevermind his actual impact on the game. Imagine how much better TJs stats would be if he played for a team (like the Cowboys) with a very good offense too... Micah has the luxury of just pinning his ears back and going for sacks, where as TJ needs to make big plays and force turnovers just to keep his team close
Tj is the best in the NFL, watch every snap and you’ll see his impact on basically every snap. Bro is a game changer and the biggest reason the Steelers Defense is a nightmare to deal with!

@@ZaneTrain92 This is also a untrue, and Aaron Donald's end of career stat sheet kinda proved it. 'double teams' are considered differently for EDGE vs DL and by personnel blocking. I've really looked into this. If you are a DL (like Garrett technically) any OT + any other combination of personnel (TE, HB, RB, C, OG) is considered a double team. if you are EDGE (TE, RB chips) or OT + TE/RB are not considered double team it SEEMS they only count OT + C/G or eligible receiver in heavy against an OLB as a double team. The film doesn't lie they both get the attention of 2/3 offensive players FREQUENTLY.
You also have to consider both teams play in a different base defense, so how the offense lines up against them impacts how the stats are recorded.

You can compare TJ and Myles more fairly since they're both in year 8, while Micah is only in year 4, so its not fair comparison unless you only compare their first 3 seasons which Micah leads in tkl and sacks.

Pff are subjective stats that are “graded” by people who work for a private company that can very well have personal bias and could vary from analysts to analyst. The formula they use is completely made up. I’ll stick with real counting stats and game tape over PFF any day because analytics don’t win football games , players do

I'm a die hard Steelers fan but I can't take TJ above JJ as of rn. There's a good chance he could pass him but people forgot, JJ damn near won MVP one year. I can't remember what year but it was maybe the best defensive season I have seen in my lifetime.

It is NOT reasonable to state that "TJ Watt is statistically the greatest pass rusher in NFL history" based on those statistics.
Those stats are called descriptive statistics. All they do is describe the data. They cannot tell you if the data is statistically significant.
If you want to know the statistical significance of this data, then you will need inferential statistics.
Meaning, you will have to test TJ Watt's descriptive stats against other pass rushers' descriptive stats using a test like Analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine whether or nor TJ Watt's descriptive stats are statistically better than other pass rushers.
This is Statistics 101.
Steelers should sign JJ. Put one of em on each side.
