Do you have any tips on when to strike when using live baits?Do I strike when my rod is bending or it is already screaming drag?I use J hooks on live yakka
I rekon time of day. Predators alwase feed in the golden hour, so sunrise and sunset. But if you can combine it with a high or low Changing tide, the activity should be good. The change of tide can still be productive during the day, but if I had to pick one, time of day would be my go.
@@nolixss694 we use pilchard only because we target the pelagics, but prawns will allow you to catch a greater range of species, although you might get picked a lot.
You were saying you gotta know when the times are can’t just go whenever. And I feel like I always just go whenever lol. How do you know when the fish are feeding ?
@@peterfatu9762 so trevally season best time during winter can bite anytime just make sure to use small sinker or small lure. Bream from late spring to late Autumn fish for them with king prawns from woolies or live yabbies, good on tide changes. Snapper from late winter to early summer if fishing from land. Try squid on a paternoster rig but need to start fishing half an hour before sunrise for best chance. Tight lines and goodluck mate.
For those in the comments not my beer haha. 😂😂😂
good session bhai, this is a hit and miss spot good some days dead the other, usually a good feed of trevally, salmon amd kings there on the tide
Very good upload, Wonderful and great video.

Great to be alive on mornings like that :)
Nothing better than crisp winter air amongst cockatoos and kookaburras while catching fish like in the video, wont forget that feeling.

use circle hooks better hook up in the jaw,and you dont need to strike, the fish hook themselves, better for release too
Is tide or time of day more important?

It all depends on what fish your after and location your fishing. If u want me to give my view on it let me know where and what u fish for.🤙🤙🤙
