BMW S63/N63 vacuum pump diaphragm could be causing ‘drivetrain malfunction’ message

    Thanks for the video. Took mine apart today and found the exact same thing. Melted it back together with a soldering iron. Thanks again!!

      Goad this worked for you! Did you replace the diaphragm or reused it ? I would recommend replacing it

      Reused it. It was in good shape still. Will keep an eye on it. It’s holding vacuum now when the engine is off so I think we’re good.

    what symptoms were you experiencing?? i’m chasing a throttle delay hesitation as well in stop and go traffic especially when braking and suddenly pressing the gas to pass someone.

    Is this pump only providing vacuum to the turbos? Or does it serve some other components of the vehicle?

    link for parts if any required or do you just fix it with the original just put it back together and melt the sides on it?

      I would recommend replacing the orange diaphragm because over time and high temps it becomes hard

      There is no part number, go on klifex website and they should have it in stock. If you want bmw part you need the whole vacuum pump assembly

      I used a hot pick tool, but you can just buy the whole part with diaphragm for about 30 bucks, just look on ebay for s63 n63 vacuum diaphragm
