@ReformedOrthodoxy so that somehow proves calvanism? As in no free will? Calvanism is a mockery if the character of God. You make God the author of sin and wickedness.
I’ve been studying the false Soteriology of Calvinism for 6 years and still am discovering more pieces. Yes, Calvinism takes a lifetime of study. The Good News of the Gospel takes a short time to understand it, proclaim it to others and a lifetime to grow in sanctification applying the Bible to one’s life. John Piper is complicating the Truth of God’s Word and the Gospel. He also believes in a secret will of God, not mentioned in the Bible. If a teaching is said to not be in the Bible, the Bible tells us to reject it. Blessed 2024
@@theresaread72 Is it true, in your opinion, that calvinists have a tendency to "stretch" Scripture to work consistently with the overall system of reformed theology?
You have a terrible understanding, @@robcrobert, of what freewill is. We are not speaking of your ability to take one step forward or choose what you want to eat for breakfast. The bible says we are completely unable to choose to follow Jesus, or grab hold of salvation, because we are completely dead in our sin and unable to seek out the things of God with effectiveness. The carnal man does not know the things of God. If you are saved, it is because God saved you, apart from your own will. I don't care what you "felt" or what decision you remember making, ultimately, you were saved by grace, through faith. This is not your own, it is the gift of God, so that no man may boast. EVEN YOUR FAITH is not of you, it is of God. If God is not absolutely sovereign over all things pertaining our salvation, we are all doomed to burn in hell.

For the Believer… People tend to exaggerate man’s ability. People claim the sovereignty of god but idolize and lift up man above the power of God. Mans free will, man’s choices, man’s desires, men’s apparent God giving gift of free thought and unlimited free choice. Reality- You cannot undo, change, shift or influence the outcome of the sovereignty of God. Truth- The sovereignty of God overcomes our blunders, our mistakes, our fumbles. Cold reality- Everything played out in the linear time was preplanned - foreknown and predestined by God himself. So the next time you worry about screwing up a witness to an unbeliever remember that even that screwup was a part of the plan. Never dare to assume that your own contribution caused your salvation. You did not cooperate with Grace You did not learn or realize who God was. You weren’t allowed anything beyond what God allowed first. So why would an unworthy sinner have any kind of authoritative power over the power and sovereignty of God? Either God is a Big God or he’s a god that needs your free will help. Remember that the next time you share the word of God with an unbeliever and remember …while the whole world lies in the power of the evil one, the redeemed AND unredeemed lie in the power of the sovereignty of God and every word uttered from your mouth is the plan and action of God. Don’t just be bold, be confident that every word spoken is not yours but his. Your mistakes are your perceptions. They neither undo nor shift or change the outcomes of God. That is reformed theology.

But why some but not others then? God knows how to change people's hearts so we can't say Free Will and He wants nobody to go to Hell so He could remove everyone's ability to sin and they'd still be able to love and care for others.
