nice video, but what about the friction between the motorspacer and the chasis?

I'm Korean and a big fan of yours. Always Thank you for all the know-how about the mini 4wd.
I have a question about this Floating Gear System in MA Chassis.
As your guide, I insert the motor spacer in the right place(couter gear) about an hour ago.
After completing the assembling the MA Chassis, and turn on the switch, it makes very very noisy sound from the Chassis.
I double-checked the other part and test another MA Chassis, so I finally got a conclusion. As I remove the motor spacer,
the Chassis makes so calm and good sound.
In my opinion, with inserting the motor spacer, counter gear moves a bit toward pinion gear. So, That noisy sound probably originated from the friction between counter gear and pinion gear, I assume.
I am sure that you already have a lot of tests, but I also wonder you know this things.
I wanna got your opinion. Please answer me at your earliest convenience,
    Thanks!!

허윤회 Everybody setup gear has different gape~~so it is really hard to say... so the gape and distance control is on your hand~ it is really hard for me to exactly guide people how to do 100% accurate setting on the gear~~ due to everybody do the gear in their own hand, I am pretty sure there is a little bit different. that difference is not on my control~~ I am here to give a simple guide, but for 100% detail, accurate and actual work, racers have to figure out by themselves, because everybody has different "hand". Thanks for your comment

허윤회 By the way~~ the motor spacer has different sizes~~ some of them are really thicker than others~~

    can I use 72mm reinforced shaft ??
It is too loose to put the pinion gear on it

What's a good motor for MA chassis? It seems like none of the fast motors are available in the pro format.

Lets say this~~ what class you play? if you are playing tamiya Technical class, the Mach dash is fast enough for that class, most of people use Hyper dash or light dash on tamiya technical~~if you compare the speed class which is Ultra dash, Jet dash , and plasma~~ then we car talking about some private race , not official tamiya standard regulation.
For example~~ In Japan~ the tamiya official event only allow Up to sprin Dash, and I beleive 99% people are using only hyper dash , because for that class , hyper dash is faster enough~unless your car is not modified well, so it is slow on hyper dash, so~ you wanna more faster motor to compatible others speed on hyper dash. And in Japan High Speed race, they only allow "Tuned" class motor.
By the way~ I have been seening a lot of people using Mach dash Pro to Defeat "Ultra, or Jet". ANd MA has More efficiency transmission, so that's why they only make Up to Mach dash. Everything of Tamiya Mini 4wd is about balance the regulation. By the way~~Ultra and Jet is not official design for Tamiya Mini 4wd, you can use it if the Event holder allow~
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway all my video is all about official Tamiya regulation~~ and I wont make any comment regard none official regulation~~
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the way~~ here is good video for offcial speed race~~
ruclips.net/video/kkk5tY1v1ig/видео.html ( In this video, everybody is using Atomic Tuned)
they only allow "Atomic-Tuned Motor" in this video~~ SO you will realize, most of people not rely on motor, they are all relied on setup, Geometry and physical design~~
Best recommend to everybody~~stop thinking about Faster motor which make you fast~~ The right direction for this hobby is not the motor.. it is the setup, Geometry and physical design.

    • @MadTangmini4wd
      @MadTangmini4wd  8 лет назад

+ZeMakerpen MA is advance version of MS..~~ For beginner racer, MA is the best choice~ because it is more easier to setup than MS
