Imagine 15 y/o you, standing somewhere in the crowd and listening to LP live. Another fifteen-or-so years later you would say this was the best day of your life. And I bet it was, cuz mine would definitely be.
This song summed up the way Chester was and trying to break away. I was fortunate to have seen LP on each album tour. What happens to many artists is even with having so many people focusing on them they still feel alone. Chris Cornell so saw many pass that his inside demons got him. With anyone in life having someone to talk to who does not judge us but is there as a friend makes such a difference
It was pretty evident over the years unfortunately through not just music but interviews as well, that's part of why it hit so many of us so hard; knowing he battled all this and often seemed to have overcome it all. At least until a few interviews around the One More Light era, but even then, he would speak of it as if it was in the past. Depression is scary with how it can keep coming back to haunt people

I will break my habbit, but not till I have a good reason, and I know how I got this way, I always try help people, and got mixed with a bad yet exciting group in my teens , and I got introduced to the darker side.. its left me with the problem, but I've lived more then some sheltered civilians, I do'nt regret. I just hope I'm strong enough to step out from the other side of the mirror anyway I love this song, and music. It has always been my anchor
