Is any grease good to use on the shock tube? What would be best, bicycle chain grease?

I used white lithium grease. Apparently it doesn’t attract dirt as much as others do.

I’m curious, do you have any regrets on changing the crank or is that something you would recommend? I know that you upgraded it so that you could pedal at higher speed.
