1949-D/S 5C FS-501, MS67 Full Steps PCGS. As of (5/14), the present lot is the single finest PCGS-certified 1949-D/S nickel. According to Cherrypickers', "the top serif of the [undermintmark] S is visible to the north of the D, with the upper left loop of the S visible to the west of the D." This Coin was sold for $32,900.00 USD at Heritage Auctions in June 2014
