- A small farm in northern British Columbia! We raise Nubian Dairy Goats and are home to several horses too! My husband and myself were both raised around cows, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. Although we only have about 10 acres, there is still a deep longing to own more property as our farm and children grow. However....that's probably a dream that will need to wait. In the meantime, it is our goal to set up our property in the best way possible to be able to properly care for the animals that are in our care.

Dottie and Jezzy were two mares that came to us back in January of 2024. At the time, they were running with a young stud...and we brought them home with minimal information about their history. It has been weighing on our minds that there is a chance that one or both of them could be pregnant, so we decided to take them to the vet clinic to figure out what we needed to prepare for...
Those two mares are super pretty and gentle.

Yes, roans are very fun! We tried to make it a date...but ended up having to take the kiddos with us. Was still nice to get out as a family though! 😊

Yes, completely agree! It is more important that their basic needs and training are cared for first! Dottie needs a chiropractor adjustment pretty badly for one....

If it was summer and the mares were cycling, I would think that would indicate they were not in foal.
We did not notice either of them go into heat like the other mares.
