Love JET2, my favourite airline. I used to travel with Monarch Airlines but when they ceased operations ;-( I moved over to Jet2. I can understand however that people get annoyed with so many announcements. If i was using Jet2 for business reasons they would really annoy me but for a holiday airline they are so much fun and that's what you need when you go on holiday, fun fun fun. And I think we all need a bit of fun back in our lives right now ;-) Great video as always OnBoardHD ;-)

Anyway, when you book a flight with Jet2 you should be aware that you are booking a flight on a holiday airline. That's the exact experience I'm looking for when I book a flight with Jet2 and TUI. Yesterday night I was booking the last trips for the first months of 2021 and I'm pleased to tell you that I found some flights through BHX that fitted perfectly! Hope they travel restrictions won't cancel them because they look amazing... =(

Wow. A special treat at the end with all the city lights from above. The sky interior of JET2 is pretty. I think this is the first time I saw you filming a toilet of all the video's I've watched so far. And I haven't watched all yet, by far. Great trip report.
It was great! However, I had to use my jacket to cover all the window to avoid the huge reflections from the cabin light! The crew that was passing through the aisle were looking to me like "what the hell is this guy doing?" haha But it was worth the result :)
Jet2 announcements are in the edge more many people: or you love them or you hate them haha Probably because, as you said, there are very personal :D I personally enjoy a lot flying with Jet2 :)

@@cbiolghini959 Some they opt to do themselves, such as doors to automatic/manual, boarding complete, final door checks etc. I seem to remember them doing the duty free announcement manually too.

La verdad es que cada vez que subes un TripReport de Jet2 me dan ganas de probar la aerolínea, tiene muy buena pinta. Y en referencia al Trip Report anterior, mira que a mi me gustan más los aviones de Airbus que los de Boeing, pero en cuanto a cabina se refiere, la Sky Interior de Boeing está mucho mejor trabajada que la nueva de Airbus, que básicamente consiste en lo mismo de siempre pero con una luz ambiental.
Jaja Mucha gente piensa que son muy "cheesy" y lo cierto es que pueden llegar a serlo... pero son de las aerolíneas que mejor tienen _targeteados_ a sus clientes. Creo que ese es el secreto de su éxito. Se centran en su cliente nicho y al resto, si no les gusta, que les den. jaja A mi me gusta viajar de vez en cuando con ellos. Si bien, si tuviese que hacerlo a diario, posiblemente acabaría eligiendo hacer el trayecto a nado sobre el Atlántico jajaja Tengo un par de vuelos con Jet2 y TUI UK para los primeros meses de 2021. Ojalá no se cancelen por las restricciones que pone a diario el Reino Unido... creo que serían un contenido increíble para el canal! :)

I've been to Tenerife a couple of times. Love Teide national park 🏞️. Jet 2 fly over my house 🏠 here on the east coast of Ireland, on their way from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Tenerife.

Great trip report. I miss seeing the old B737-300 and B757 of Jet operating. I suspect they will be gone for good, leaving just the B737-800 and a couple of their recently purchased A321’s in the fleet. Maybe you could get a flight on one of these in the future, for comparison. ✈️

Anyway, I've just booked a Jet2 flight from Manchester and realised it was on an A321 when the seat map appeared! :D Hope it won't get cancelled as I want to record Jet2 A321 so much! :) Do you know if the a321 that they are flying right now are those with the full Jet2Holidays livery? Or the ones that are white an just the red jet .com logo?
@@OnBoardHD The A321 will be Jet2's own A321 in the Jet2holidays livery! Looking forward to that already!!!! The 757s and 737-300s are due to come back next year, they are in Murcia for storage currently :)
An excellent video as always! I really liked the livery with the blue coloured engines. The lights in the cabin were also really nice! 😍 A free coffee is almost a luxury nowadays. 😁 I've been thinking about that it would be nice (for me) if you had a middle "step" between the first two types of your membership options... Bueno, hay que tener en cuenta que esta aerolínea se centra mucho en paquetes vacacionales. Teniendo en cuenta que el Reino Unido permite volar a Canarias desde hace muy poco, lo normal es que al principio los aviones vayan llenos a Canarias y vuelvan vacíos. En una semana más debería de equilibrase ya el volumen de pasajeros en ambos sentidos. Pero sí, el vuelo comodísimo jeje :D
Qué bonito el interior del avión y su juego de luces rojas. Y que molesta la megafonía, la mitad del vídeo sonando y dando mensajes jijiji. Buen vuelo amigo 🛫

02:56 I have realised that are the flaps supposed to be extended on stand, maybe after landing the pilots must of forgot to retract them, great review love Jet2 👍🏼
On the Airbus it's a standard procedure that slat 1 is extended by very hot temperatures. But I don't know how hot it was on that day and I don't know how the Boeing SOP handles this. So they might not forgot it 😉
I really don't know the reason in this case. Something that could be, but it's just an idea, is that the pilots suspected a bird strike so they left the flaps down for a visual inspection. But I say again that I don't know why they were not retracted. There is a checklist which included flaps, so forget about them is not an option. Glad that you've enjoyed the video!! :))
@@jf3052 On the Airbus it's just when the external temperature is above 30ºC to avoid some sensors to give false indications on the ground. There's nothing like that on the Boeing. But good suggestion :)

When I was returning from holiday, there was a problem with a baby so there was a 1 hour delay so it sucked but I got home safe, sadly, I wanted to stay but I couldn’t since I don’t know Spanish. (I was in Tenerife.)
Gran video Lucas!! Jet2 es una gran compañia, pero muchas de sus guias turisticas se creen que estan por encima de los trabajadores de los hoteles. Te lo digo ya que yo soy socorrista en hoteles aqui en Tenerife y he vivido situaciones lamentables con ellas, tanto personalmente como visto con mis ojos a otros trabajadore.

Did you have any bad experience with Jet2? Actually, I had great experiences with both airlines. The only reason why I have a lot more videos with Jet2 is that Jet2 is a lot cheaper than TUI UK when booking only a flight ticket and not the whole holiday package. I have 2 TUI UK flights booked for the next months, including one on he B767. Hope they won't get cancelled and we can all enjoy them on the channel :)

@@Antoniosviolin What I've felt from outside the UK is that all measures that the Government (or the organism that is in charge of) took a lot of "erratic" (not erroneous) decisions that didn't take into account, at all, the travel industry (airlines, tour operators, airport operators...) that will be extremely important for the UK after Brexit. They are currently very important, but I think they'll become vital in the next years. Maybe it's that the info we get outside the UK is incomplete/biased, but as a person that books a lot of flights, the only country in Europe that never gave some kind of certainty that my flight was going to be operated, at least 2 weeks in advance, was the UK. Buying a flight to/from the UK was always a gamble; a gamble that in the majority of cases I've lost.
@@OnBoardHD I couldn't have said it better myself I mean from what I've heard a lot of airlines have cut routes thousands of jobs IE British airways announcing they've cut key routes for next year! But god knows what brexit may bring truly I am very concerned for what's going to happen they are vital especially for international routes as to Europe etc don't get me wrong domestic routes are very important as well for business travellers etc but I feel international is definitely the main way. I'm sorry to hear you're flights have got cancelled etc because from your channel I see you've got a really good variety of videos good airlines good routes and it's a shame to see most people flights are been cancelled because of all this. From what I've seen on twitter on Heathrow's page is people demanding they open routes most people said from everything they did the aviation industry took the most precaution etc I don't understand why this isn't recognised and why it's still been punished by places been added to the list not sure what it's called but I hope the aviation industry really bounces back and comes back stronger than ever it contributes so much to tourism and the economy and has so much to offer. I hope you're able to keep making videos but definitely worth the sub keep it up 🤗

I'm going on only my first Jet2 flight and only my second overall next year. There seems to be different types of plane. The grey/red scheme of Jet2 and white/orange Jet2 Holidays livery. Which is the best?

Who is the best airline to tfs? I am 6ft 6 and usually fly southwest who has 31 in pitch sitting by the window and i am comfortable on 3-4 flights. My girlfriend and i will be going to tenerife as soon as pandemic is over.
The cheapest one, no doubt, is Ryanair. If you book the first row or emergency exit you'll have 34 inches or more on seats 1A, 1B and 1C. Rows 2, 3, 4 and 5 offer 32 inches. The other rows have 30 inches. For their low-fares and all the thousands of routes they fly, I think they are a great option. Have a great flight! :)

@@OnBoardHD It looked lie one of those Cobus Evo's you were on I take it they can only carry 40% of their normal capacity I know it's like that in countries like Spain, Greece, Germany and Poland.
And so is every other "london" airport other than City and Heathrow. They only have london in their names due to their Direct connections to London. And also, Stansted isn't too far from London.

I always wonder why Jet 2 announcements seem to presume everyone is an English holidaymaker/tourist. I've only ever bought flight tickets with them and it is rare to hear announcements in anything other than English.
Because their target passengers are English holidaymakers. they only have their website in English and everything is completely focused on those clients. It's completely understandable. To be honest, I've never heard an announcement in another language than English. When you book a flight with them you should be aware of that. I enjoy a lot flying from time to time with Jet2 :)
The guy who narrates the video sounds like he’s from Coronation Street. Not so good at distinguishing all those quaint British accents. What a cheerful holiday airline. To do so many of the announcements as pre-recorded is novel. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. What about transgender folks?
Man, just enjoy the trip. Don't try to look for the bad side... If there is something that characterises Jet2 is that they always try to be as polite as possible with everyone. And I think they really do it. I enjoy flying with them, even that I'm not an English holidaymaker, who are the main customers of this airline. Hope you've enjoyed the video. Have a nice weekend :)

Ahh! I wanted to fly on the -300 and B757!! Maybe the B757 will still fly in summer 2021 if the demand recovers. Anyway, I've just booked a Jet2 flight from Manchester and realised it was on an A321 when the seat map appeared! :D

The coffee was included with the pre-ordered meal. Otherwise, it's on the pay-per-eat system (also known as onboard menu hehe).

Bueno, hay que tener en cuenta que esta aerolínea se centra mucho en paquetes vacacionales. Teniendo en cuenta que el Reino Unido permite volar a Canarias desde hace muy poco, lo normal es que al principio los aviones vayan llenos a Canarias y vuelvan vacíos. En una semana más debería de equilibrase ya el volumen de pasajeros en ambos sentidos.
Pero sí, el vuelo comodísimo jeje :D
Qué bonito el interior del avión y su juego de luces rojas. Y que molesta la megafonía, la mitad del vídeo sonando y dando mensajes jijiji.

On the Airbus it's a standard procedure that slat 1 is extended by very hot temperatures. But I don't know how hot it was on that day and I don't know how the Boeing SOP handles this. So they might not forgot it 😉
I really don't know the reason in this case. Something that could be, but it's just an idea, is that the pilots suspected a bird strike so they left the flaps down for a visual inspection. But I say again that I don't know why they were not retracted. There is a checklist which included flaps, so forget about them is not an option.

@@jf3052 On the Airbus it's just when the external temperature is above 30ºC to avoid some sensors to give false indications on the ground. There's nothing like that on the Boeing. But good suggestion :)

La verdad es que sobre la parte "de tierra" de Jet2 no puedo decir nada, pues en mi vida he comprado un paquete vacacional con ellos. Tengo muy claro que los paquetes vacacionales, excepto en casos muy contados, son un saca-cuartos jaja Si bien, para alguien que quiere que se lo hagan todo y despreocuparse, son la opción ideal.
Yo soy más de coger el vuelo que más me convenga y buscarme mi propio hotel y traslados. :D

Actually, I had great experiences with both airlines. The only reason why I have a lot more videos with Jet2 is that Jet2 is a lot cheaper than TUI UK when booking only a flight ticket and not the whole holiday package.
I have 2 TUI UK flights booked for the next months, including one on he B767. Hope they won't get cancelled and we can all enjoy them on the channel :)

@@Antoniosviolin What I've felt from outside the UK is that all measures that the Government (or the organism that is in charge of) took a lot of "erratic" (not erroneous) decisions that didn't take into account, at all, the travel industry (airlines, tour operators, airport operators...) that will be extremely important for the UK after Brexit. They are currently very important, but I think they'll become vital in the next years.
Maybe it's that the info we get outside the UK is incomplete/biased, but as a person that books a lot of flights, the only country in Europe that never gave some kind of certainty that my flight was going to be operated, at least 2 weeks in advance, was the UK.
Buying a flight to/from the UK was always a gamble; a gamble that in the majority of cases I've lost.
@@OnBoardHD I couldn't have said it better myself I mean from what I've heard a lot of airlines have cut routes thousands of jobs IE British airways announcing they've cut key routes for next year! But god knows what brexit may bring truly I am very concerned for what's going to happen they are vital especially for international routes as to Europe etc don't get me wrong domestic routes are very important as well for business travellers etc but I feel international is definitely the main way. I'm sorry to hear you're flights have got cancelled etc because from your channel I see you've got a really good variety of videos good airlines good routes and it's a shame to see most people flights are been cancelled because of all this. From what I've seen on twitter on Heathrow's page is people demanding they open routes most people said from everything they did the aviation industry took the most precaution etc I don't understand why this isn't recognised and why it's still been punished by places been added to the list not sure what it's called but I hope the aviation industry really bounces back and comes back stronger than ever it contributes so much to tourism and the economy and has so much to offer. I hope you're able to keep making videos but definitely worth the sub keep it up 🤗

Who is the best airline to tfs? I am 6ft 6 and usually fly southwest who has 31 in pitch sitting by the window and i am comfortable on 3-4 flights. My girlfriend and i will be going to tenerife as soon as pandemic is over.
The cheapest one, no doubt, is Ryanair. If you book the first row or emergency exit you'll have 34 inches or more on seats 1A, 1B and 1C. Rows 2, 3, 4 and 5 offer 32 inches. The other rows have 30 inches. For their low-fares and all the thousands of routes they fly, I think they are a great option.

@@dannycnoble Hahaha Yeah! You'll enjoy the experience. I recommend you to book a seat between rows 1 and 5. They are very comfortable. Particularly, row 5 has a perfect alignment with the window. Rows 5 and 7 are always my first choice :)

Maybe they were checking something... both flaps & slats were completely deployed.

And so is every other "london" airport other than City and Heathrow. They only have london in their names due to their Direct connections to London. And also, Stansted isn't too far from London.

I always wonder why Jet 2 announcements seem to presume everyone is an English holidaymaker/tourist. I've only ever bought flight tickets with them and it is rare to hear announcements in anything other than English.
Because their target passengers are English holidaymakers. they only have their website in English and everything is completely focused on those clients. It's completely understandable. To be honest, I've never heard an announcement in another language than English. When you book a flight with them you should be aware of that.
I enjoy a lot flying from time to time with Jet2 :)

The guy who narrates the video sounds like he’s from Coronation Street. Not so good at distinguishing all those quaint British accents. What a cheerful holiday airline. To do so many of the announcements as pre-recorded is novel. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. What about transgender folks?
Man, just enjoy the trip. Don't try to look for the bad side... If there is something that characterises Jet2 is that they always try to be as polite as possible with everyone. And I think they really do it. I enjoy flying with them, even that I'm not an English holidaymaker, who are the main customers of this airline.
