Hi. Thank you for this amazing video. I have tried many project for that but never worked. Finally found yours. Modified codes for my motor shield and worked very stable.
I have one but the instructable I made for this project isn't as thorough as the video. Just tell me, and I can write out step by step instructions on it if that would be helpful to you. goo.gl/ds1XYu
I also just corrected the closed captions on this video. You can use those if something I say is not clear. Also, if English is not your first language, RUclips allows you to translate the closed captions into any language you want! Nice channel by the way!
Nice video. But I tried it with stepper motor and the motor stops for every one revolution whatever the speed may be. Please help me. After several searching I found that the pulseIn command is a blocking comment. How to overcome it help me.
hi, u is very nice because we no pay nothing money to u , but u is learn this project to we all, sorry for bad english , i first can talk thank u , god bless u , just i have a problem if i no can fix tell u, tnx very
i have another problem with my bluetooth module hc05. it cannot respond to any AT cmnd line what can i do. it connect with my phone but cant send any signal.
The motor shield should fit perfectly onto the arduino uno. Just line the pins up. Since the uno only has enough pins for the motor shield, it doesn't have any pins left over for the RC receiver. You can put another wire into the same port as a motor shield pin. Just make sure that the motor shield doesn't use/activate that pin!
I would like to ask a question, why is an Arduino microcontroller needed when you can just control the motors with just the transmitter, having all the motors that you have connected to the receiver output?
Manish Yadav Actually you control the output pins using the motor shield library. The command is: AF_DCMotor motor1(port number) The ports for M1 and M2 are 1 and 2.
hi, sam you said that just copy the code in the arduino ide and upload it. when i upload the code on arduino uno an error appears. can u pls help me to short out this error. [ This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" enabled in File > Preferences. Arduino: 1.0.6 (Windows NT (unknown)), Board: "Arduino Pro or Pro Mini (5V, 16 MHz) w/ ATmega328" sketch_dec25a.ino: In function 'void setup()': sketch_dec25a:34: error: a function-definition is not allowed here before '{' token sketch_dec25a:165: error: expected `}' at end of input]
The ports for the receiver will be harder to install on an Arduino Uno, but it may be possible if you bend some connectors (do research before doing this)

Hi Sam - thanks so much for this. I built my first RC based on your design. Couldn't have done it without this video. 10 out of 10 !!!

Awesome! I'm glad I could help!
Thanks for the great tutorial man saved me a lot of time working on my tracked vehicle I'm making
So good!!!!!! That USB drives me crazy it wouldn't go in lol
Haha, thanks! The USB was partially on purpose
The built and code was awesome thanks man😄
Cool vids. You just earned yourself a subscriber.
icyburger thanks! I'm glad you like the videos!
Great quality video! Nice and comprehensive, good tone
Andrew Gaines thanks!
Thank you so much Bro! nice video, nice presentation and crystal clear explanation!!!!

Génial! Ça devrait marcher! Dis-moi si tu as besoin d'aide.
(Aussi, google translate est très utile)
Great job! Very nice presentation too. But the thing you built is not a robot but remote controlled car!
Great jop in a awesome channel ,but why you didn't have post a instructable link for that project
.you must have to create a count there

That is a relly beautiful addition , keep doing greats

Hey Very nice job on your videos!
Thanks!
Awesome vid!! Keep doing it
Thanks!

Awesome vid!
that usb did not want to work at 7:25
Thanks!
Haha, I actually filmed that take as a joke and ended up using it

Thanks!
What is the problem that you have?
i have another problem with my bluetooth module hc05. it cannot respond to any AT cmnd line what can i do. it connect with my phone but cant send any signal.
Nice video is the speed of the Carduino variable depending how much the TX stick is pushed forward?
Yep!
How to use the arduino uno for this project
I would appreciate if you could show us the wiring image.... thank you
+Rizal Akib unfortunately don't have the robot wired up anymore. Which part do you need clarified? I can look through some old footage
if i don't have the shield....then....what are the outputs.......
hello..... (FLYSKY FS-T6 LCD TX Transmitter and RX Receiver Radio Control System ) Can we use that transmitter and receiver for this?
Yep, that should work.
how to use ardiuno uno for this... i ardiuno uno and motor shiled..can u show me the shametic daigram for that

hey please... can you tell me the logic for making rf remote for pick and place robot......!!!!!!!!!
Chandan Mishra can you explain a little more? Just to make sure, you're asking about the code for the receiver?
do we need to have the adafruit motorshield or esle can we use the normal motor driver
ahmad muqry you can also use a normal motor driver
I would like to ask a question, why is an Arduino microcontroller needed when you can just control the motors with just the transmitter, having all the motors that you have connected to the receiver output?
This design is mainly just a base for adding on other components and sensors that require Arduino.
I see, thank you very much!
can you show me how to know a frequency from remote with arduino ?
Run the included serial print remote test code. Tell me if you need more Information
ok thanks alot
what about output pin??? i mean from which pin will the arduino send the signals to motor shield??
Manish Yadav I believe that the motor shield has the port numbers listed. I'll check for you
Manish Yadav Actually you control the output pins using the motor shield library.
The command is: AF_DCMotor motor1(port number)
The ports for M1 and M2 are 1 and 2.

Vishal Kumar looks like the code is missing a right bracket at the end of void setup()
Type a "}" one line above "void loop()"

ok n thnks for the help
Sam's Neat Projects
Thanks a lot for your help. i was struggling to upload the program. This small " }" made a big help for me.
can we use Arduino uno
The ports for the receiver will be harder to install on an Arduino Uno, but it may be possible if you bend some connectors (do research before doing this)
It gives me error...It says the setup func are not allow to use token
'{' this kind of sign
Is this in the Arduino IDE software?
actually a closing bracket(}) is missing for void setup. plz add }this before void loop line......your problem will be solved
That table... why are you in my house?!?!?!
Squatting in random house = free rent yo
Can i use Arduino uno instead of Arduino mega
