I had to teach myself that any project that I go to do has a myriad of unknowable variables and that it becomes what it wants to become sometimes in spite of what I wanted initially.
I know, right? 😄 So many RUclipsrs put only their "best" out, which is understandable... But it shows he is human, too 😃 I like how it turned out, but I also love Broncos ❤
You’re your own worst critic, it came out awesome!!!! Wheels set the vibe and nice detail on the bike. Still have the version I had as a kid of this classic casting
well, looks great to me. very 80's, the wheels look great as well. :) but I see what you mean with the fade. maybe you could have tried to mask off the fade's bottom, only without pressing the tape's edge on, but leaving it lifted. this is how some car painters make fadeouts when they paint only a part of a fender or door. the photo on your cel looked like one of those Revell model kits from mid-80's, with fancy decals and stuff. :) I'd like to have one of those with this graphics. ;)
Even though I am not an SUV guy (at least most of the modern beasts) or FoMoCo guy (with many exceptions), I did LOVE this Hot Wheels Bronco. It was so "showroom stock" during that era when Larry Wood did some of his best work for Matchbox, in my opinion. The 1980 Seville, Dodge Omni 024, Pontiac J2000 Sunbird; Mercedes 380 SEL, etc. Just cool cars I would see on the contemporary streets of the times, and this was a design that was right from the dealer....so cool and not the absurd graphics that have always annouyed me. Well done!
Needed that video. Turned a stressful day into a more bearable one. Always enjoy your work whether it’s restoration, custom or experimenting. Thank you!!
Not sure what you think looks bad. Gorgeous paint and it totally feels like what your were going for! Nice details in the mild come to life with a little paint
Stunning work and attention to detail. I've never seen such an astonishing paint job like this!! You just turned this old hotWheel into a real hot fire !!
That bronco looks killer think you did a great job that paint scheme in real life was considered the Free Wheeler from Ford . Once again you do awesome work there sir
Looks great. I think if you used a piece of cardboard 1/4" above the surface as sorta of a mask break for the red the paint would fade but not go that far into the yellow, just a thought. You missed part of the tire on the bike, behind the red side cover. 👍🏻😃
It looks really good! The fade could have been a little more pronounced but like you were saying with it being such a small area to work with . But it looks really good thanks for the video.
I like it. I think that you should have painted the soft top in the back, white or tan... It would have "broken up" the all black, and made it look like a convertible soft top. I like the dirt bike in the back, would love to have that set up in real life. 😁
Hi, hello, howdy, that should cover it. Another great video. I enjoy your work and am slowly moving away from perfectionism. Accepting the flaws and moving forward. Thanks for being a great instructor. Later hey.
I was thinking... why don't you put in a blister after you finished ! Like a custom stuff. I bet one of you followers know how to do it ! Or even you know ! Love the Chanel man ! Watching from Brazil !
Awesome! I can see that rolling down the streets in my head. My dad had a purple F100 with similar orange and red graphics, period correct. Nicely done!
Thats awesome! I dont know if you knew or not but hot wheels DID actually release this model with the sunset graphics...i think theres had them on the hood though too
I frigging love it! Just stripped one of these down a couple of weeks ago. Was going to paint it the same as my real '86 (metallic silver). Now I'm thinking.... My cousin had a '79 dent side with a very similar paint job. Great work Austin.
Sweet, that’s my favorite paint stile on a Bronco…u did it well !! Question where did they get the murals for the vans you did few months ago? I can’t find them at all….. Thanks!!
Could you have gone back with a quick squirt of yellow along the bottom. Looked sweet to me. The nice thing about 'artistic license' is your are never wrong ;-))
@diecastresurrection looks like I may have found your channel too late. I see you haven't posted in a while. I love your videos and want to get into this hobby so bad. I hope you are well my friend.
I think you would need two airbrushes to get the effect you wanted. One yellow, one red. come at it from both sides at the same time. That looks pretty nice though. I've done a few color fades on real cars. A lot of work.
Sometime in the future I’d love to see either, an unfinished but powerful project car like your Tokyo Drift Shaun replica. Or an iconic muscle car that you think would have been badass to have as a wagon and make that. Just ideas
Comment #20!!! Awesome 80's Blazer!!! I had an '86 Chevy Blazer!!! Forest Green with silver metal flake. The side panel was black with gold metal flake. I painted it in Auto Body shop at the career center, 11th grade.
Hello my friends, Happy Humpday. This one didn't quite go as planned and ended up kinda meh! Hope your week is going good. 🍺🍺🍗🍗
It looks pretty darn cool. I like it and Broncos are cool
@@rdcustomdiecast old school ones are imo.
I’m sorry to disagree but I dig it very classic makes me want to do one
Such an artist. This truck turned out awesome. Those wheels were the icing on the cake.
I kinda wana see a lifted dodge firstgen or lil red express
It’s encouraging to see a RUclipsr say it didn’t go quite to plan. Makes me feel like it’s not as big a deal when it happens to me.
I had to teach myself that any project that I go to do has a myriad of unknowable variables and that it becomes what it wants to become sometimes in spite of what I wanted initially.

bruh
The "this one looks infected" caught me so of guard that the laugh just jumped out of my face and scared the crap out of my wife. lolololol
I almost expected a "Hmm, my favourite beverage!" XD
Damn this one's a beauty! Nice work as always. Insane detail work on the bike too!
Looks great. I had that model when I was a kid. I drove the wheels of of it in my dirt pile
Always loved the late 70's early 80's broncos, this looks sick
You’re your own worst critic, it came out awesome!!!! Wheels set the vibe and nice detail on the bike. Still have the version I had as a kid of this classic casting
22nd thumbs up brother always enjoy watching your customs and have a great day brother 👍😎👊💯
Saaaawwweeeet!!!! I love it, almost like chameleon paint, as it changes with the light.
Love the Bronco!!!!
Spraying a fade in such a small area would be so had so you did pretty well. Spraying fade on a real car is a skill in it self.
well, looks great to me. very 80's, the wheels look great as well. :)

The Branco looks good, the Retro paint job you job you did made it much more better.
Always love those Broncos very good Builders always my friends have a good day God bless
So cool. The end result is amazing. I like these kind of videos, when you talk a bit more. Simply you put the cherry on top with it. Cheers mate! 🍻
You may feel like you messed it up but it's still awesome! Killer work as usual!
That Bronco came out super sweet!
Job well done. Glad to see the bike get detailed. I always think those look funny.
Needed that video. Turned a stressful day into a more bearable one. Always enjoy your work whether it’s restoration, custom or experimenting. Thank you!!
Came out nice love the detail paint job on the motorcycle 🏍 cool fade overall
Not sure what you think looks bad. Gorgeous paint and it totally feels like what your were going for! Nice details in the mild come to life with a little paint
Turned out great!
Working on the same diecast. I did mine in a dark gray. I took that funky bike off, replacing it with a spare tire. Nice job on yours.
I had an ‘82 Bronco that I WISH had this kind of paint job (it was the terrible poop brown/tan/white combo). This looks awesome!!!
This is really great. Best custom example of a 80's bronco i've ever seen.
WOW!! Great job. And since this wasn't a factory paint job for that year, it's a "What if Ford did this..."
Looks really cool especially the detail on the bike.
Stunning work and attention to detail. I've never seen such an astonishing paint job like this!! You just turned this old hotWheel into a real hot fire !!
May not have been, what you were going for, but, it still came out looking awesome! Sending love from England 🇬🇧
I totally forgot that I have this same car in my collection! Brings back memories 🥲
Huge improvement over what you started with.
Sweet ride man, loving the detail on the bike and also ❤️ this RUclips channel
That bronco looks killer think you did a great job that paint scheme in real life was considered the Free Wheeler from Ford . Once again you do awesome work there sir
Nice build, details and paint job 👍👍
Great looking job Master Austin very well done.👍👌👌🇨🇦😎
Those colors came out great dude, well done. You take care, much love from South Africa
like it. Detailing the bike really makes it pop!
It looks great.
Fantastic details on the bike
Nice job, use have created a museum piece. 👍
The bike looks sick! Great job!!!
I bet you could do this concept flawless on a larger scale model!
Great work. The detail of the motorcycle really puts the cherry on the cake. Well done 👍
Extraordinary! I enjoyed this ALOT!!! Thank you Sir!
You are an artist! Nice job!
Looks great. I think if you used a piece of cardboard 1/4" above the surface as sorta of a mask break for the red the paint would fade but not go that far into the yellow, just a thought.
You missed part of the tire on the bike, behind the red side cover. 👍🏻😃
Yep….I was going to suggest the same thing. Business card stock is perfect for that.
It looks really good! The fade could have been a little more pronounced but like you were saying with it being such a small area to work with . But it looks really good thanks for the video.
Yep, I like it. Adding a v stripe up the cab frame would be awesome.
Looks great, I used to have an 81 Ford Bronco the exact same paint job and color.
bravo, it definitely looks 100 percent better. 👍👏
I like it. I think that you should have painted the soft top in the back, white or tan... It would have "broken up" the all black, and made it look like a convertible soft top. I like the dirt bike in the back, would love to have that set up in real life. 😁
I think it came out nicely. I love that casting too.
Looking good as always love it Lee

Looks great! I think you were right, probably should have stopped before that last coat....
Hello my friend great job on the bronco Truck like that color and the Mimi bike great job 😁👍

I frigging love it!
Just stripped one of these down a couple of weeks ago. Was going to paint it the same as my real '86 (metallic silver). Now I'm thinking....

Nice paint job!
Outstanding work as always thanks for sharing
Could you have gone back with a quick squirt of yellow along the bottom. Looked sweet to me. The nice thing about 'artistic license' is your are never wrong ;-))
Looks good, hopeing I can get my real 86 Bronco fixed up and back on the road, too many other priorities right now
@diecastresurrection looks like I may have found your channel too late. I see you haven't posted in a while. I love your videos and want to get into this hobby so bad. I hope you are well my friend.
Why did you use the back of your blade to cut the tape? Around the 7:20 time. Thanks for sharing this.
The rims are perfect on this thing. Would also look good on some turbine style wheels but I like it
That came out great buddy 🍻
Awesome Bronco build brother
That looks great!
That bronc is kickin!
As planned or not, that thing looks great!
Damn looks dope as always,Best painting skills!
Love the color, but I think the shell should be more of a flat black, my K5 was flat black. Still looks excellent
Looks awesome!!!
I think you would need two airbrushes to get the effect you wanted.
One yellow, one red. come at it from both sides at the same time.
That looks pretty nice though. I've done a few color fades on real cars. A lot of work.
Looks sweet.
That looks great
