I have to say, the concept, arrangement, physically working all of this out, and finally, the actual rehearsals for this sketch must have included the consumption of copious amounts of beer.
The long face contributes to the act. The song is Paul Anka's "I'm Just A Lonely Boy" He is extremely talented and this is an exceptionally good and unique act.
This is one of the best acts I know. It has everything. Tension, humor, great acting, exquisite musical talents and wow moment. The guy bringing the chair in the beginning steals the show, but later the tables turn and doing the same next time feels much less majestic. The focus is somewhere else. I just love this scene and I hope to once see them IRL
Imagine where they got that idea... "You look so bored, c'mon pull yourself together!" "I am so bored, I could play "lonely boy" with my feet and my hands on reverse on 4 instruments and STILL be bored!" "You couldn't!" "Oh yeah?! ...."
I can't stop watching this. I wonder how much practice it took him to coordinate all that. Thinking of the concentration it took to get the timing, slide positions, and fingerings down for four instruments at once gives me a headache!
*OH MY GOSH!* I saw this at the Prism Concert 2016 at FSU, and it was incredible! My band class had a long conversation about how impressive it was when we got back to the school!😃😄😃😁
being a former tuba and trumpet player in high school i found this very amazing.i dabbled with the trumbone but did not master it.sounded more like he did at the beginning of "my way"

Holy Wienerschnitzel, Leonhard Paul is the Austrian answer to John Cleese channeling Jacques Tati. Tall, long legs, with extraordinary agility and, most of all, a parody of stuffy, conceited upper class, all topped with a kind of Mr. Hulot cluelessness.. I especially admire the group's skill at not hurrying the joke as many present-day comedians do, talk fast, zoom to the punch line. Kudos!
Let me second Tenor JIMMY WOOD's several motions ~ this brings A MUCH YOUNGER AUDIENCE into the live-concert hall, appreciating the achievements (and antics) of classical musicians: many extra BRAVOs !~! ANDY, Classical Basso in West L.A.
Hello ! that's probably one of the best Brass Band of the world !Magic Trumpet Channel like it (Stéphane PISO, French Trumpeter on You Tube). As we say in French : "Bonne continuation !" It's wonderful !
I return to this and enjoy the aplomb of surprises. Few things in life are well done but this is well done. It qualifies as art. Art is fresh each time you see it. Art is timeless and this is timeless. A century from now it will be fresh to those who view it.
the beautiful thing is that every of them play all types of brass instruments... are not specialized only on 1 instrument but all play all brass instruments... ^_^ great!
This vid was taken from at least 2 different clips. Look at the guy in white. His shirt is sometimes tucked in then out and back again. Awesome stuff though, love it!
Very cool! Those guys are really good! First time I have ever seen them. I am learning to play trumpet, had my horn autographed TWICE by Chris Botti! The horn with the bell bent downwards in the middle of the bell section is interesting to say the least! It sounds fine though! Really cute and funny act and excellent horn players to say the least! I really enjoyed this!
I'd LOVE to see these guys team up with the Canadian Brass to do a collaboration of some sort. And as a bonus, since I'm a tuba player myself it'd be neat to see Wilfried Brandstötter and Charles Daellenbach do some sort of tuba duet.
I have to say, the concept, arrangement, physically working all of this out, and finally, the actual rehearsals for this sketch must have included the consumption of copious amounts of beer.
cocaine
They’re brass players. There’s always beer involved
You can't have successful band rehearsals without beer
Pure genius
they're Austrian. copious amounts of beer is the norm.
The long face contributes to the act. The song is Paul Anka's "I'm Just A Lonely Boy" He is extremely talented and this is an exceptionally good and unique act.
How are you doing!?
E
Mnozil Brass: The only group where successfully sitting in a chair will get you a round of applause.
Even carrying a chair would give you a applause
@@salladass_nl8004 I'd give him an applause too
3:57 when the music actually starts - smh
Et pourtant, qu'y a t il de plus banal que porter une chaise?

This is so weirdly creative. I love how I had no idea what was gonna happen next.
Imagine someone walking in on a rehearsal for this . . .
Imagine where they got that idea...
"You look so bored, c'mon pull yourself together!"
"I am so bored, I could play "lonely boy" with my feet and my hands on reverse on 4 instruments and STILL be bored!"
"You couldn't!"
"Oh yeah?! ...."
Lmao
I can't stop watching this. I wonder how much practice it took him to coordinate all that. Thinking of the concentration it took to get the timing, slide positions, and fingerings down for four instruments at once gives me a headache!
I love the expression on his face THE WHOLE TIME! Its funny.
Eu também gosto muito da expressão facial dele. Eu choro de rir.
*OH MY GOSH!* I saw this at the Prism Concert 2016 at FSU, and it was incredible! My band class had a long conversation about how impressive it was when we got back to the school!😃😄😃😁
The tuba player is the real lonely one here
Andy Rawn Amazing Grace
that's right XD
Tuba gang
As a tuba player, nah, we're used to it.
If you only listened you would have no idea. I find that incredible. These guys are godly!
They didn’t actually play it you can tell by the fingering and the placement of the instruments
I've seen this done live. It's not a camera trick, it's real.
@@gabrieltaylor4150 Nope that's real, and the fingerings are all right
I saw this show live in Melbourne (2009), and I can confirm that this is for real.
being a former tuba and trumpet player in high school i found this very amazing.i dabbled with the trumbone but did not master it.sounded more like he did at the beginning of "my way"
the timing of the "lead" is incredible. Those guys are superb!!!
I love this piece. I like a man who can multi-task.
Anyone else see Orlando Bloom when they look at Roman?
MY BAND TEACHER SHOWED US TO YOU GUYS. you guys are hilarious and I love the music you make and you preform it in such an extraordinary way
You had Mr. Wellington for band at GVMS too?!?

I think thats my favourite one of theirs. Lovely simple melody beautifully executed. Can wait for these guys to come to the UK
Very good,
had never seen such a perfect group as well, congratulations to the excellent work by musicians ...
Hi
NEVER ceases to amaze me!
The difference between mere musicians, and showmen.
There isn't much originality in entertainment these days, but this... This IS original AND highly entertaining!

Such an amazing group of musicians, love these guys!
It does sound like Lonely Boy by Paul Anka, but the tune is from Elvis's Pledging My Love. Also known as Forever My Darling.
Very funny and clever too!! Love the moment when they pull the chair away - priceless!!!
These guys are really entertaining to watch and listen to. They remind me of The Canadian Brass Ensemble with added comedy.👍👍
I came here for the Black keys but this is awesome too
Unbelievable- wow! These guys aren't just (really incredible) musicians, but talented entertainers in many aspects.
Bravo Mnozil Brass!
Still one of my favourite performances ever.
