I know that when I first started researching and diving deep into all things "How to Homeschool" at the very beginning of our homeschool journey, I searched high and low for what to do for an evaluation portfolio. I love the mini yearbook idea!! Oh, and I've been doing homeschool for 9+ years, but I always want to keep my "wrap up" simple and learn from others. You organize in a way that keeps it simple, but it still covers everything. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I’m so glad this helped you out. I’m the same way, I love to see how others organize things and then I kind of blend them all together to fit my needs. About the yearbook idea… my kids LOVE going through their own minis and constantly recall what they were doing in the photos. I can’t wait to make this next years and adding to the collection. ❤️

What do you do for mental math?

Formally, we do skip counting everyday. Informally, if she asks the sun of something which actually happens quite a bit, I help her figure out the nearest 10 and compute from there. Time to get to places also comes up quite a bit so I have her practice working out how much time we have until we leave somewhere. It drives her crazy sometimes because she just wants the quick answer, but I don’t give in and she’s getting better and faster at getting to the right answer. I need to start incorporating more money transactions from our everyday life.
