What was the load rating difference before and after fitting the support brackets for the tub? Is there any documentation or specs? I do love the sound of the exhaust after mods. What it that exhaust system typically worth without installation and with installation ? I never thought of this as a mod for the bliuld I am spec'ing up
The J-Brackets (aka Load Box Reinforcement Bracket by Ford) are purely structural, the payload remains the same. We're really happy with the exhaust. Please get in touch with our sales team regarding pricing and installation.
How about selling a grommet set to fill those holes and the big cross tube in the chassis where all the road spray enters the box section? Plus something removable to blank off the odd shaped hole that is for access to the bump stop attachment bolt.
@@gandalf2256 I have done, you lazy imbecile. Plus I’ve waxed the chassis thoroughly inside and out, something I suspect your lazy arse would never do.
J-brace install should be done by Ford under a recall. Pretty sh*t. I've only fitted a roller cover to my Raptor, but still considering adding J-braces for piece of mind
we agree, it sounds silly. But Ford states it's required when "load-bearing elevated accessories are fitted". Considering the accessories we planned to mount to the roof, it was better to be safe than sorry.
What brand J Brace is this? others require drilling 20mm hole in inside tub. I prefer option of cutting and sliding "nut bracket" inside channel
It’s a factory J-Brace from Ford
Solid video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!

Floor is looking good mate 0:54
Cheers mate!
Hey whats the total height in the tray from bottom to the top of the inside of the canopy?
The door openings are 465mm tall.
Is there a J brace for the gen 1 ranger raptor?
Only Next Gen Rangers and Raptors need them
Are these braces only for the newer model rangers?
Yes, the J-Brace is only for the Next Gen Ranger.
Are you the guys that can put sport modes in rangers?
What do you mean by “sports modes” exactly?
@@BAWAutomotive I’ve heard about people who can add a sports driving mode into these new rangers.
Why isn't the next gen range J brace installed in factory
Anyone's guess. Sure seems like someone made a mistake along the line
@@BAWAutomotive It's probably because it doesn't come out with a canopy.
Exhaust location didn’t change?
The exhaust location is the same
Why would it change?

Go on then, you make something ya drongo.

Yeah, it's seems like a huge oversight from Ford. We reckon it's worth it for the piece of mind, but everyone's use case is different.
@@BAWAutomotive Bull Shit no other Dual Cab needs this up grade even the 2022 ranger
@@tonyhaley7946I know right, absolute shit!
4:55 "Oh F*#! You!" As a mechanic I feel his pain working on vehicles 🙃
Glad you could sympathise with it 😂
Where's the land cruiser?
Don't worry we still have the Nori Green 79!
Your putting in brackets too support a 25kg canopy. That screams BS!!! Surly.

So after the J braces are fitted. What is the new load rating on the top of the tub?
Embarrassing of Ford, the whole J Brace issue. First make a design mistake, then make the customer pay...
Yeppp...
