- Welcome to the behind-the-scenes journey of 'Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm.' From archive to exhibition, this is the journey of how Paul rediscovered never-before-seen photographs, captured during the early days of 'Beatlemania,' and brought them to life in an extraordinary exhibition at the newly refurbished National Portrait Gallery.
'Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm' is open at the National Portrait Gallery, London from 28th June until 1st October 2023

Travelling from the National Portrait Gallery in London to Norfolk, Virginia. The Chrysler Museum of Art will be the first venue in the United States to present 'Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm' from December 5, 2023 - April 7, 2024.

If I were to walk into that Gallery filled with Paul's photos, I do believe someone would have to drag me out. I know I would spend hours there dissecting every photo. But most of all I would stand in front of the 4 close ups of Paul, John, George and Ringo and weep happy tears for the love I hold in my heart for them, their music and for my teenage youth! ❤❤❤❤

I was 7 when The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. That was beginning of a beautiful friendship. I have had them in my life all these years though it has not been a two way street I am fine with that. I wonder if this show will travel at all.

I was playing on a pin ball machine in a cafe and heard she loves you for the first time and I was hooked great times and memories of the Beatles and life in the 60s.

The best part was seeing an original "i want to hold your hands" hand written lyrics by paul himself and next to it was a personal diary with a story written by paul, After the live stream that is where i waited outside and paul for about 20/30 minutes and paul came out in the front passenger seat and waved at us all. Priceless :)

I was a senior in high school when the Beatles came on Ed Sullivan show. From that moment on, they changed the way i looked at & listened to things. I will always love their music and it will be played as long as beings have ears.

Fantastic memories! Saw you on stage at the dreadful tin shed, called the Sydney Stadium, 1964. I was 16 and couldn‘t hear a thing from all the other girls screaming around me! Very exhilarating! And now, both much older. Would love to see this exhibition and reminisce. Hope it comes to Australia🇦🇺 Your music has survived all these years - and it’s still relevant!

I attended this amazing exhibition on the day it opened in London and loved every minute of the three hours I spent there.
This really is the best photographic exhibition in London and the UK. I'm just wondering now that Ringo released a book of his photographs when are we going to see John Lennon's and George Harrison's photos? They all had cameras back in the day.

Just when you think there are no more Beatles’ photographs to be unearthed, Sir Paul goes mining the vaults for more and how lucky and blessed we are all! A picture truly is worth a thousand words, but let’s face it, Paul’s words are certainly worth a lot more than that. I was 12 in 1964 and fascinated with the Beatles’ sound as soon as I started hearing them on the radio (love at first “hear”), but when I saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show it was truly love at first sight, especially with Paul. One of the highlights of my life was meeting Paul and Linda at the after concert following their last show at Soldiers Field in Chicago in 1990-truly lovely and gracious people! And Linda was so funny; she had been making faces at me while she was performing all during the show, which is how I came to meet them.
So lucky to have met them both. I think Linda was Pauls soul mate. Deep down he must miss her very much.
Truly and absolutely inspiring journey from music to stardom to legendary and now Photography exhibition.

Looks awesome Paul. I can Never get enough Beatles memories. I saw a question an google, it asked what band had the largest audience ever recorded. Of course I thought if the Beatles. I was correct. Beatles in Shea stadium NY had a record crowd of just under 56,000 people. That record held for a long time but since has been broken.
500,000 people were in Central Park for Simon & Garfunkel reunion 1980 400,000 for Elton John Central Park 1981 There wre more than 56,000 at The Isle of Wight 1969, Woodstock 69 and Woodstock 94
