Good stuff. Something to add to this would be the synergies between the rationalism tree, jungles, and trading posts. Excellent tiles for science, commerce, and sustaining growth. Non-improved bananas are bananas in value too.
One big thing you missed is the National College. Getting Philosophy and the National College (in your city that will have the most science) is a big game changer wrt Science. It needs libraries in all your (non-puppeted) cities. Also - don't cut down jungles near your cities (as much as you can). You get 2 science for each non-spoiled jungle in cities with universities. This is esp great for civs like the Aztecs, India, Mayans etc. which tend to be higher growth civs. Never create a plantation on Bananas for example - you will get a tile with great food and science later in the game.
I love science victories. You gotta have massive science to get the tech. You gotta have massive production to build the shuttle, you gotta have massive culture to prevent a culture victory, and you gotta have massive diplomatic influence to stop a diplomatic victory. Easy peazy
Top-notch video and absolutely beneficial! I want to open the game right and do redo my playthrough as Korea. Thanks for sharing and keep up the fantastic work! :-)
@@JumboPixel First thing he asked when I told him you make Civ 5 and 6 tutorials is "does he have a science one" I don't know what he does but he can get much science unless playing on Prince or Warlord. So he should like this video
I just got into the game like a week ago and I'm really getting into it. Your videos help me so mutch because they are up to date and not like 5y old tutorial videos. Keep up the good work, myb i can add u on discord and I can show you my country so you could possibly give me some tips 😀.
Love these videos! I ran immortal 8 civ domination and seem to be winning but have to cut wars short due to happiness. I then carefully annex and raise cities to normalize happiness and stat the war again. Is it normal to be so hard to manage happiness during conquests?
One more is try to prioritize getting Great Scientists and planting them as early as possible. Esp for ppl that go down the Liberty policy tree. When you get a free Scientist plant it (esp on a Strategic resource tile like Iron, Sheep, Oil etc.) It will give great Science and you don't need to improve that tile. Don't plant Scientists on luxury tiles though.
Great video. Keep it up!
Thank you! 😎

Yes definitely another way to generate science with unimproved banana jungles!

I was brought here by my friend who recommended your science video, and I must say, it looks good, I think I will stick around.
Ah yes. Boofer himself! It's great to have you here :)
I built a city next a natural wonder that is also a mountain. Was really good as spain.

This game is very old and the 5y old vids are actually still up to date
@@midwestapprentice1904 Still watching in 2023 🤘😆
Right next to a mountain, or when that city buys the mountain tile?
Fantastic!
GOOD SHIT
You are 😉
I'll just put out something missing. Having many close neighbors is great potential to you why?. Caravan can do trade(Money, science, etc).

Yes! Good on you for balancing aggression with careful happiness planning. It is normal for it to be pretty tough at immortal, yup!

Brilliant!
Are you from the same region as jacinda ardern?
Yup hahah. I’ve heard they call it “New Zealand”
@@JumboPixel hahaha naw I meant the same part of NZ, accent is very similar
It's the year 2004 and I'm in industrial era lmao
Eeeeep
How come the University specialists are producing 7 science each? Mine never get anywhere NEAR that.
That's Korea's speciality. +2 science per specialist. Even on a Writer's Guild specialist you get +2 science along with the culture.
How do i steal workers from city stats
run on them and declare war on cs

You can’t fool me
