The Q-class 10's don't hit as hard in your G35 because you have them in a sealed box. Your 12's are in a ported box so can reach the lower hertz range(mid to low 30's-the bass you can feel in your chest). Even then if you put your 12's in a custom ported box it'll hit even harder. Because your Lexus trunk is isolated from the cab the bass pretty much stays in the trunk. Do those rear seats fold down or is there a middle pass through that opens up for items in your trunk(skis,golf clubs and the like)? Is there an area behind the seats that hold 6*9 speakers? You can cut out a port(opening) and cover it with a mesh cloth for a nice apoearance and allow bass to filter into the cab through the opening. In your G35 those tens would sound waaaaay deeper in a properly ported box. Even one Q class square 12 in a custom ported box would sound amazing in that car. Way better range then your tens in that sealed box.
Both are pretty nice setups. Pretty overkill imo for my taste. But they do slap! I like a good single 10'. A single 10 with the right box, dialed in just perfectly slaps, and outperforms dual 10's/12's imo in balance. Love the setups though!
I haven’t upgraded my audio in my cars in over a decade. I guess I grew out of it and the cars I have all have good stock systems. I was thinking of going no bigger than a 10 inch to save space cause I need the trunk space. Any 10 you recommend that would hit as hard as dual 10s or 12s?
@@larryzeldin7561 All depends on the kind of bass you want, and the set up. I definitely would go to an audio shop and ask them, all depends on your budget too, and I would go custom box. I like sundown subs, Nakamichi and Rockford fosgate. Or like bassface subs are good for budget too.
Well one is a ported enclosure it won't hit lower frequenciesthe sealed box will play any frequency if your settings are set accordingly...the box Is everything ..grab a lower tuned enclosure for the comp q 12s tuned at 33 hz you will like them alot more than what you like them now ....same for the l7q custom enclosure tuned at 33 hz..you will play notes that you didn't know was there all along ..

Those Comp Q’s are purty subs. I don’t have an amp capable of giving the power the Q’s need, but I’d love to run a 10 inch Q in my car. I recently put together a little comp vr 10 and I’m very impressed with the punch and overall quality that little subwoofer puts out. I used to hate kicker and was convinced they were cheap, crappy sounding subwoofers, but I will admit my mind has been changed with the last few systems I’ve heard.
High end kicker get down compq or l7q class both do damage and if enclosure tuning is in the low 30hz to 33 hz they love those frequencies...I shut alot of people down with my 15 comp q round tuned at 29 hz any sundowns in the same rms range or skar they just compress alot more air and are more efficient than these other subs ..
I wouldn’t say these are entry level subs. It’s in the middle fasho. The sundown and Memphis subs those competition subs. They slap tho but don’t sleep on the kickers. Thanks for watching bro 💯💯
Q class subs aren't entry level subs and I'd take the q class l7 over any memphis or sundown any day of the week. Get just as much or more output with less power and with better sound quality.

My kicker amp cut off and goes back on. I have the big 3 and also 4 gauge ofc wires. I don’t know if it’s grounded wrong or what is happening.
