Contemporary Era CE Fighting Battle Setup Examples in Forge of Empires FoE

- CE is one of my favorite eras. It takes a long time to get to this era. Once you are there you might find you like to camp there a while. In this video I show you my favorite battle setups. For auto, manual and hybrid auto battling. I wish the Assault Tank was as powerful for auto battle as the TE and FE versions, but they aren't. I'll show you some alternatives that I have found to work very well.
#1 I never advance first, I let the enemy advance first.
#2 I use the retaliation units (1 or 2) almost all the time with rogues and no other units. If there were a better artillery unit I would use it against 3 or more tanks. When there are 3 or more tanks I have to do a manual battle to keep the 2 anti-aircraft units from being killed first and instead move my rogues out first which will turn into anti-aircraft units that fire back when hit. This sets up the enemy units for a one hit kill or if tanks a 2 hit kill. Remember when doing manual battles to land on spaces that give a bonus.
SO, I only use anti-aircraft units (2 most of the time) with rogues which lets me win all battles with no or minimum unit damage and losses.
If you are working with a new level or are a new player I advise to not do auto attack until you know how to use the units you have available which may even be from previous city levels.
I'm about to jump from PE to CE, sitting at 600 att 380 def. Looking forward to a new era!

why no mention of Champions? They are awesome too in CE.
Oversight, thanks for mentioning. Champs in CE are bomb. Probably the last era I really used them to a big benefit.
Do you think the map scaling should be increased more often since the units get so much more range evrytime they age up
The scaling can be a challenge especially if you play on mobile. When I play on computer I can zoom in and out to help with the overall navigation.
