- Today I speak to how this game somehow stays relevant at the lowest point in my life. Another chapter of the simulation? Playing the game the way we want to play? Rants. More of my long term player friends leaving now than during COVID. Plus a rant about Inno jacking loyal mobile players with new money model 'testing' and their forced-videos-for-a-treat model. If you want to bypass my ramblings, there is a tidbit towards the end of the video about SAM+ higher colony execution/philosophy. Rants. Plus Forge Commander is back online after like 2 months! And for those of you counting...more "you know's" than I've ever thrown in on any video ever.
Sorry to hear about your family issues. For me, the social aspect with my guild using discord was huge this summer. Had shoulder surgery back in June (rotator cuff tears, SLAP tear, and tons of bone spurs that were shredding everything). The social aspect with my guild and discord was a HUGE part of what kept me sane for the 3 months it took to get cleared to return to work (just wrapping up my second week back). Eight hours after surgery I was on my computer bsing with my guild and trying to do gvg left handed (then I slept for 4 days). From my experience, the bots/dev exploiting and the gvg freezing bugs that Inno doesn't want to acknowledge are hurting the player base more than Inno's money grab.

Thanks for sharing! I am a free to play player. I am coming up on 3 yrs of game play & have seen many of my mentors leave/pass away. I have tried to carry on their wonderful legacy, but INNO is making it hard with their allowance of blatant cheating & their greed! Now that they will nerf the GBG, I have no point in being on, other than to collect & go.
Yes I think they are trying to cater to a different audience which means the clock is probably ticking on lifespan of the game
Couple points from me: Love your videos. I’ve learned a lot and you’re easy to listen to.
I don’t like the video adds, especially the nearly porno ones. I have discovered some tricks to avoid some of hem while still getting the benefits. You have about 5 seconds after a video ends to click on all the other incidents without having to watch theirs.
The videos and castle give new players and new world starts a big head start. I’m wondering if this is partly to allow new players to catch up faster as it’s a long trip to SAAB

I've quit the game, I was an extremely competitive player and loved it, rose to the top players fast, but since foe has put ads in the game, it doesn't feel the same anymore
I agree with the feel being different. The guts are still there, however by adding benefits for 'no cost' and then pull them back to monetize comes across disingenuous.

My current theory is that Inno has run the numbers and they want to target a different player demographic. Cut loose the elites and monetize the newer players that may not know the difference. Perhaps FoE is nothing now but a gutted Trojan Horse funnel to push players into other games. It’s obvious that a game rooted in optimization of resources (especially time)..wasting so much player time on feature change ad pushes is an insult to past investors, and undermines the core aspect of gameplay efficiency goals for all players across the board. Or maybe they don’t run numbers. Maybe they just do what feels right.
I'm in the game until I get my Coleseum to level 101. Then I'll be crowned the king of Brisgard. And global chat will worship dezz nuts. 🐿
