- Fox Creek oil plant fire. It
It looks like a problem happened at Secure energy plant just outside of Fox Creek. Late morning June 12 2024. Hopefully no injuries and only minor damage. It doesn't take much to make a lot of smoke.
Oh i missed this, wow hope no one was hurt.

Never heard anything about it, must have been treater fire like suggested.

Looks like a treater fire. The guys weren’t flushing their fire tubes.
There's a guy I know who worked there.. I'd trust his judgment on that one...

Me too. Things like that can be minor or catastrophic. One person injured is too much, Things can be replaced.

Is that a gasoline & diesel refinery? Any injuries?
No refineries around here, only gathering or processing pre pipeline.
No smoke now, so must have been minor- thankfully.
Are there a lot of small producers in your area that ship to this plant?
@gregbrown4962 there's a few facilities right there. That one takes product from all over I believe. It's quite common to run oil through to knock out any produced water that comes with the oil.
In this area I've seen crude oil ranging in color from grass green to black or brown. Viscosity or flamabilty tar to white gas and anything in between.
Well I guess fuel prices will go up in Ontario
Fire was out next trip. Probably not serious.
They don't need reason to increase prices except for the passage of time.
