How in the world did she get in there in the first place?
Just like Biden.
Now we know how long the Board being 100% behind you lasts at Harvard.
When you cheat once people will look to find out if you cheated on anything else. The entire foundation of her academia career could be plagiarized, a lawsuit could easily come from this
And I hope for a law suit against her
Can you do Harvard now? Because the tools there defended her.
H-index of high ranking US University Administrators fired over the Israel-Palestine conflict:
Claudine Gay- 11 (Claudine Gay was the first Harvard president in the last 20 years with an H-index higher than my shoe size, which surprises me.)
Liz Magill- 8 (Again, this is really low and bad.)
Phyllis M. Wise- 153 (2014 Gaza War... Enforced the use of a private email accounts to skirt an inevitable FOIA request during the un-hiring of pro-Palestinian Professor Steven Salaita. Apparently, the private email thing was illegal and you can't "un-hire" academics, you have to fire them.)
She “confronted hate”? I didn’t go to Harvard but I think she meant to say “promulgated and/or endorsed hate”.
Elaborate

Make Accountability Great Again.
But she acts like she was entitled to cheat, highly disgusting
@davidl2469 A lot of them have entitlement issues.
She was finally evaluated on the content of her character, Dr. King's dream came true.
And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you end any debate on this topic
The smile of her face when she responded in the public hearing said it all. She was not concerned for the Jews. She also took no accountability for the many examples of her plagiarism. This is not someone who should be president of a school that teaches a wide range of students and purports to hold high academic standards. Keeping her as a professor shows that Harvard is now a joke. They toss students for the slightest infraction of plagiarism yet she gets to keep a job as a teacher? That's problematic.
She was a poster child for the Woke Corporate Progressive Left.
Oh yes, same way Julian Assange was found guilty of rape right after he revealed US military crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nah mate, she was just honest , and honesty is inconvenient to the current political agenda that’s all there is to it.
@ManWithFace Yea this is what her removal is about, if it was plagiarism she never would have gotten the position.

The fact that she resisted for this long is a disgrace. All those donors who revoked their funding should never give the money back.
I agree with you.
You hate education? Not surprising.
Fire the people who hid what Claudine Gay was doing.
The reasons were very apparent. Why is this such a surprise that she is a bad person and did bad things very unprofessionally. Every one was waiting for this normal response for doing bad things.
Harvard should revoke her doctorate.
Yup. The worst examples of plagiarism were in her PhD dissertation. It makes Harvard look like a diploma mill. I'd be interested to see if there are other examples of plagiarized dissertations earning PhDs at Harvard.

Love how they sat there so smug like they were so right and wouldn't resign or get removed then like 2 weeks later badaboombadabing
If your response to "is calling for genocide okay" for any group is "it depends on the context", you should be fired. Period.
Any other group of people this was aimed at, this person would've been cancelled, career over, fired, done.
I'm pro-diversity and pro-social justice and even I am appalled at the way the Jewish community has been subjected to double standards and failed by activist circles. This is even aside from the plagiarism allegations and the fact she dragged her heels on apologizing.
Whatever side of the political spectrum you fall on, or whether you're pro-Israel or pro-Palestine or neither, you must agree she needs to go.
I thought she just copied a paragraph, and then i did some googling, Jesus, she copies everyone. That's crazy
Harvard really didnt want to force the "first black female president" to resign... but several billion in lost donations and a European school disassociating with them overcame the potential outrage.... hopefully this is a lesson, but i doubt it
Note that most media outlets will rarely if ever use the term "disgraced" in describing this event.
Of course, she is a "diversity" hire.
That’s because the left control of the media at least most of it.
Herself led to it. To take an ambiguous stance on genocidal speech is absolutely astounding. If she doesn't think certain phrases are genocidal that's one thing, ie: "from the river to the sea", but to be ambiguous about actual genocidal speech that even she may even classify as genocidal speech is sad
@ManWithFace u people
She couldn't take the heat anymore, and didn't want to answer the hard questions she couldn't answer. She finally realized she has failed in so many ways.
Did she really realize why ??
I think what she realized was that she couldn't lie or manipulate herself out of the corner anymore.
"Ask not what Harvard can do for you, but what you can do for Harvard," said Claudine Gay.
Doesn’t matter if they fired her, Harvard’s stance on this hasn’t changed!
She is right context is key. And both side military are calling for genocide. The civ just want to be safe and have there home.
She's just the escape goat. News blown up. Need to look like there doing something.

It is good that she resigned but she ought to have been fired way before this. Good riddance.
Her resignation letter played the race card!
There was no resignation, she was FIRED. Unfortunately she’s going to stay on as a faculty member, if she was a different color she would have been gone in an instant. We are so afraid of retaliation that we are willing to overlook the awful mess these people are making!

Why did this take so long? It's plainly obvious she had no business being in that position.
Given the prestigious reputation of Harvard, they would have done their due diligence on her academic integrity. Something that was emphasized to me as early as Middle School. Hammered home in college. In my doctoral program, emphasized how it can destroy careers years down the road. In general, it was always consistent in it's necessity in citation (albeit more stringent the higher you go). Either Harvard was negligent in it's duty or intentionally overlooked it...
