this review is somewhat misleading, as it seems to suggest that the wacom One is somehow able to utilize software on it's own, which is incorrect. And unless you can run adobe photoshop/illustrator on your iPhone, chrome/windows tablet, chilling out on your couch possible if you have a long enough connector cable to reach your laptop or desktop, but going outdoors to work with it is not happening, unless you have a long enough cable to attach it to your desktop/gaming laptop, (standard laptop could run photoshop but it will be very slow without gaming level processing and memory. That being said, the wacom One seems to be pretty decent, and it does have a very good touch screen surface. I haven't had much opportunity to really get in to using mine yet, but I'm looking forward to it. To be fair, it's more of a starter device for someone looking to get into digital art, as the price point is pretty reasonable, compared to something like an iPad or virtually any other tablet that could run adobe digital art software. There are other options in the digital art software arena, though, and some of them may be more forgiving of a limited cpu/memory capacity. But, ultimately, the wacom One is a glorified monitor, and not to be confused with something like an iPad or the wacom Cintiq.
Would you say the iPad would be a better choice for introducing someone to digital artwork or is the Wacom One a more affordable, but slightly less refined version of an iPad? Essentially, I’m asking what you would recommend
@@worldwaide So i’ve used an ipad to draw and i just can’t get used to the screen since it doesn’t have that paper like display, if that doesn’t bother you then i’d recommend a ipad since it’ll have brighter colors and is more portable , im personally using the wacom one because i only draw by my pc and and love the way it feels when i draw on it, feels like paper lol
@@ajaragon02ps3guy I'm looking for a more "wire-friendly" tablet. I've been using my Cintiq 16 for a few years now, but I really hate that it needs USB, HDMI AND an A/C outlet. I just want something with one cord, so I can utilize my PC ports better.
@@artguy7992 I was trying to understand if it's a downgrade in some way. I love my Cintiq but, just need less clutter. I don't want a "lesser" tablet though. The One always has a tag of, "great for beginners". That makes me think it's "lesser" than my Cintiq.
If you can, I suggest you get the ipad pro, having to always connect it with a computer can be tiring, with an ipad it’s very accurate and portable (it also has a TOUCH screen!) I don’t regret my ipad Air one bit after 3 years and owned 2 wacom intuos
iPad Pro is great but you'll be limited to iOS apps. The Wacom One is PC and Mac, and even Android in some case, which makes it a bit more useful if you already own one of the compatible devices. I personally have an iPad Pro but will be purchasing the Wacom One refurbed as I'll be using it with desktop apps.
I have an XP-Pen Artist 15.6, and while they are different, they are also similar. My advice would be, if you wish for something more portable and space saving, take the Wacom One, but if you have the space, you can get the XP-Pen's! However, Wacom One is able to connect to an android, i'm not sure if that specific XP-Pen model is also able to.
It is pretty bad i wish someone told me before i bought one for myself two years ago now it stands alone in a box collection dust, the screen color accuracy is sooo wrong, it needs alot of wires so you can only use it indoors, i prefer my old screen less huion tablet very much.
Samsung uses DEX and other phones might have different options. If you're asking about iPhone, good luck; they typically make blocks on third party items.

There is just watch a vid from them and then check recommendations when you see a vid by them click on the three dots and click don't recommend channel, done!
