That was exceptionally well done, my friend. This was one of the albums I played to death when I was first learning how to play guitar in the early 70's. This album was HUGE at the time, as was JD himself. That first year I figured out how to play this album, Neil Young's Harvest and the first America album, which is an acoustic guitar MASTERPIECE and was actually the inspiration for me to finally really learn guitar and stick with it. If you don't know that album, you simply MUST listen to it, it's beautiful!! Anyway, I had only been playing about 6 months when I decided to tackle this instrumental. This is 1973-ish so all I had was the record and my ears. Plus the several hours it took to figure it out. I got it about 95% correct and the girls in 9th grade couldn't believe it. Lol! I had fans! Lol! After that I knew I'd never give it up and I never have. This was really nice hearing you do it so note perfect. Very, very well done!!
Thank you so much! I'm familiar with all of those albums. In love with Harvest for sure! Thankfully I've got the ability to look up tabs and chord charts which helps greatly! So much excellent acoustic guitar work came out of the 70's.
Wow! What an absolutely beautiful rendition of this instrumental, with all parts played by yourself with mixed tracks and video. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and will listen and watch many times. Thanks Parker, keep on your path, you have so much to offer ahead!
Parker, I just recently found your site and subscribed. I gotta tell ya, I’ve NOTHING but respect for your flow, vibe, talent, and song selections! Seriously tho, jus lovely.
This JD song has been a favorite of mine for decades, this is an excellent cover 😊
Awesome, phenomenal, superior, transcendental, great.
I close my eyes and see Mike Taylor playing. Good to see a young person appreciate this great song!
Beautiful! JD himself would be proud. Love it.
