I have been using moto edge 30 pro since last 2 years and my phone is still running on Android 13. I get security patches every 3 months but without any bug fixes. Over last two years my phone received only 1 Android upgrade and 8 security patches. Most of the bugs are still present even after all these upgrades. There is no HDR support in RUclips and Netflix even though they claimed the screen supports HDR+. Moto really doesn't support their devices in a long run.
I agree, I'm ok with the delay updates but the problem with Moto is that they have bugs in the updates that no one talks and Moto don't even fix them. I had Moto edge 30 pro, which had screen flickering issue with Auto refresh mode and had network connection issue, Moto didn't even acknowledge these issue and not even fixed it for ~1 year. I don't trust Moto when it comes to updates.
actually this is the first phone where im really convinced that the colors are true to life. when you take a shot with your dslr, it often looks flat. that's the look I like coz sometimes I also like it natural and also if you want to edit a photo, a flat, true to life color is the easiest to tinker with.
Sadly it's cameras are not up to date, especially telephoto one. Also battery life is thing that's really poor on this phone even considering it's release date. But I enjoyed my 5 years of owning S10 128GB + expanded memory by purchasing 512GB microsd card

For the price of this your better off going with the OnePlus 13r main camera is slightly better but the rest are worse but it has the full fat 8 gen 3, a 6000mah battery and LTPO display the edge 50 ultra doesn't even have an LTPO display but if you want good cameras and don't mind the lightweight 8s gen 3 then the Honor 200pro is much cheaper and is just as good if not better on the cameras !
Did you tested the dark model under water. I've noticed a tiny opening on back panel near volume rockers on my edge 50 ultra. I went to service center, they showed me same device also having same opening and they told me this is common. Then I checked your website and I see an opening on same place of your dark one model (grey only. The wood edition have no issues) so I realised that this is normal.I asked them about IP68 rating. They told me that there is no warrenty if water gone inside. I saw the same opening on your device on your photos that you have posted on your website (dark grey only) I want to know will this opening affect my phone's IP rating what is your test results of under water (grey edition). Please reply

Verizon don't even sell them no more except for the old 1s. I don't know happen. So I'm going get the Sony Xperia 1 V and call it a day. Sony stop selling there phones over in the US. Variety is out the window now. Samsung Apple and Google only choose when you walk in Verizon, Att and T-Mobile. I can't understand. All cameras are all over 50 MP and in the video for example you ranged every one of them between 12.5 MP and 16 MP? Shouldn't be 50 MP for the selfie camera???
Even if the company claims camera megapixels to be higher the actual image is lower pixels. They use pixel merging, pixel binning etc functions to then produce an image of higher resolution. Search up how those things work because it is a bit complicated.
Absolutely great phone for £549 this is an absolute steel. Great hardware and ok you don't get the updates like you do with Samsung but then look at the price point.
I bought this phone edge 50 ultra by seeing its positive reviews on the internet. My primary need was to have a good camera phone however its camera performance disappoints me very much. The deep regret of wasting my hard earned money hunts my mind each time I lift this phone up. Due to the camera app issues 8 out of 10 photos taken on this phone are not sharp. Taking kids photos with this phone is a nightmare, each photo clicked takes ages to process and after processing the photo comes out is not the exact moment I clicked but the one after few seconds. means this is not suitable for taking kids or pets or any constantly moving object's photos. Next is the software update and bugfixes. I am really surprised to see that Motorola isn't bothering to fix major faults even on their flagship phone.
one humble request to GSMarena if you test camera then test it in different environments its so easy to test every phone outside of your office but as viewers we want to differentiate difference pics from various locations for every phone!!!

All the camera modules in Civi will be worse than Moto ones. But if Xiaomi implement better algorithms, better color accuracy and better video recording quality which cameras are better is a very controversial point
Are you talking about cameras color accuracy? If so I suggest reading text article on their website. Long story short - it's not something that blows your mind, too bright and artificial looking colors. S24 handles colors better, but S24 has poor telephoto camera and details on main camera are a little worse. Videos on S24 are far better, than Moto ones. IQOO similar to Moto in terms of colors, but has better implementation of telephoto sensor and a little better videos. Nothing phone is not something you should consider when thinking about cameraphone

If you think about cameras it's worth buying Vivo X100 Pro or Xiaomi 14. Or you can buy Oppo Find X6 Pro if you will be lucky enough to find it for good price (under $600) - it has one of the best cameras in this budget
Moto problem, Poco F6 with same chipset gets around 85% on the stress test although temps of every phone now a days are reaching 40-42 Celsius under synthetic benchmarks.

My advice for all Motorola fans is to wait for the next year model , i curently have the edge 30 ultra and is much better than this year ultra model , especialy the camera setup.

Poco F6 has worst material quality, has worst camera quality, has a worst user interface (imo HyperOS is bad), doesn't have wireless charging and a bit less quality display than the Moto Edge 50 ultra. I'm not gonna say that the Moto is the best choice to buy but it's really a difference between the F6, the Poco is only focused on performance.

Daytime video looks very bad totally corrupt now, BUT it can probably be fixed soon with a software update? Motorola must do it otherwise this flagship phone will fail and not sell many units. Nothing makes cameras better with every update so now Motorola will have to do the same!
