In that song, and Backbone, he is as good a lyricist as Rakim, but is so slept on. I've seen him open for Run DMC in Vancouver on my 19th birthday. Seen him open for Naughty by Nature and Rakim and met him at the grocery store too. Still have the 12 inch vinyl singles. Can't believe it's been so long, but there could be no other Canadian Hiphop act inducted before him. He is ground zero, he is the legend. Congrats Wes. ❤
