Being on the ground is such an underrated aspect in the evaluation process. It does make me a little nervous seeing him on the ground a decent amount. Was one of the biggest flaws when evaluating Billy Price years ago even though I know it’s a completely different position it is just something to take note of. Huge fan of your work Joe and am really looking forward to your content this offseason!
The Ole Miss offense had to game plan and scheme up plays during Spring and Fall Camps just to move the ball. Lane had to put some restrictions on the defense so the offense could get work in, lol. The defense was elite and Nolen was the best player on the defense.
Nussmeier is the LSU QB! Was eligible to come out this year but didn't because he had a couple stinkers against A&M and Alabama that really tanked his stock. He could be a top 10 pick next year if he improves his willingness to scramble and becomes more consistent.
I'm sold he's a monster OT! Cincy needs a swing Tackle & it's not Trent Brown, Cochran even if they resign Cody Ford l can see Cincy taking this kid in the 3rd or 4 the! TY Mr. Wright & company?
Somewhere, anywhere in the draft. If Cameron Skattabo is there, the Bengals need to act. The ability to feature Skattabo when called upon, with the existing offense. Is a punch of thunder . Behind the deep ball. Who Dey.
He is a talent, wouldn’t mind seeing him.. yet think if there is an offensive lineman that can come in an impact right away.. I would have to consider it… Thinking they can draft another rusher in round 2, or later.. keeping Joe up right is most important.. bring in a pass rusher from free agency and draft one or two.. and develop them. I appreciate your time and effort and perspective @JoeGoodberry thanks for your time and effort and energy as a bengals fan… tell your brother his bills best to win Sunday..
@ absolutely bc most of us know our body isn't grown, let alone our mind at 21.. like 25 in that 5th-yr option (2nd contract) age, esp for an already elite athlete
The Bengals are much better off hitting DT in FA imo. It's a good FA class and i don't know that any of the DTs they're in a position to draft are immediate impact players, which is what they need out of this pick. DTs just take time in general, unless they're top 10 overall. Don't know if its true, but the knock on Nolen seems to be disappearing for long stretches, which has always been a red flag to me. Would rather get the best G/S/LB in the draft, or an edge capable of 7+ sacks year 1
For me, it’s Booker the guard from Alabama at 17….way more of a sure thing. This Nolan kid is a great option to watch & hope he slips to Cincy in round 2….he’s off some draft boards already so no need to reach early
You don’t take guard in the first round. You can probably get either Georgia OG or Booker in the 2-3 round. Bengals need DE or DT in the first round, possibly a Jihad Campbell or Jalon Walker if no DE or DT is available.
we can’t afford reaching in the first round, especially for a guard when there is first round talent on the o-line who are more versatile and can play guard at a high level, i.e. Membou or Will Campbell. if Booker don’t fall in the 2nd round, there’s still Ratledge, and tackled Mbow and Grant who both can/will kick in at the next level.
@@mercado4life188if your the Bengals you certainly don't take a safety or guard in the 1st round. If they hit and become a pro bowl type player they aren't going to pay them anyway after there rookie contract.
@@mercado4life188 You take immediate impact players in the first round. Booker would be the best guard Burrow has ever played with Week 1. There is zero chance he falls to the second round, he may not even make it to them in the first
Best Bengals analysis, Joe Goodberry.
He looks like he would instantly be the most athletic guy in our tackle room

Holy smokes was the Majora's mask there the whole time & I never saw it?? So kewl
We need another good pass rusher and another really good safety
I think Walter will make an instant impact. Maybe Harmon will test better. Feels like Nolan’s floor is higher. I think I’d go with him.

I don’t know if he’ll be there when the Bengals pick but I truly hope they get James Pearce Jr from Tennessee!! 🤞🙏
Jihaad Campbell episode perhaps? Since Mel Kiper mocked him on his first one to the Bengals

15:31 he did play with McKinley Jackson then right?
Hope you feel better soon!
Where can I access game tape like this on prospects ? Feedback really appreciated
Defensively the Bengals need help with run defense as much as pass defense.

Anyone sending these videos to the Bengals front office?
Kenneth Grant is my guy in the first round.
Maybe 2nd or 3rd round for me. Not nearly a good enough pass rush profile for a top 20 pick.
I'd much rather take Jamaree Caldwell in the 4th/5th
Benglas need a 3 tech pass rush DT Grant is a run stuffer, Jenkins and Jackson already take care of that
Hey Joe, I know you were pretty bullish on Johnny Newton last year would you say Nolan is a prospect tier above Newton? Thanks for the content cheers
I wouldn't. At first watch, I would have Newton as a better prospect.
He’s a 20.9 year old child!!
Crazy
Oh & you know how much Joe values early production. & getoff.. & diverse moveset, motor.. if he tests well he's worth 17
@@pRODIGAL_sKEPTICAnything above 80th percentile athleticism at that age and with his production profile would be a slam dunk at 17

Nolen and Graham are in a clear tier of their own compared to the rest of the class
Joe how does Nolan compare to Byron Murphy?
Are you gonna look at Mason Graham or Kenneth Grant?
Mike Green Marshall
Bengals need to hire you
Malakai starks
Jalen Walker
Guard in round 1
Whodey!

We just drafted 2 DTs last year, in the 2nd & 3rd round… rather get a free agent & one in the 3rd, let Jenkins & Jackson develop.
Show me a bigger guy if you're scouting a DT. Looks like another Joseph Ossai. They don't need that. They need a TRUE DT more than a TRUE DE.
