I remember how disappointed i was, when i found out in TBC that Kael will be one of the big baddies. In WC3 he was actually one of the most reasonable and sympathetic of characters, who just wanted to find a place and a purpose for his people in the world and became a victim of rather messed up circumstances. That one was a really far cry from the Kael'Thas we have now.
Nah he was all hatred and revenge in warcraft 3 as well when he talk with tyrande and garithos and he faces to Arthas he came all the way down to northern and support willingly to illdan against arthas he said his precious lich king and other when he was with illdan we will destroy the frozen throne as you command with hatred tone soo you miss that?
In W3 he's by far my favorite. I hate what they did to him in TBC, but because of my attachment to the character I knew I'd even have my character turn evil for him.
That's so true. He's my favorite Warcraft character because of his actually compelling and likeable traits, but in WoW he's just a bland villain and now... he's a Vampire Knight parody.

"And everyone else bore the consequences." I can't help but feel that is a subtle reference to Lor'themar Theron...and I love it. I hope Lor'themar appears in Shadowlands and he and Kael have a lore moment together.

Tyrande has slightly different dialogue for Nightelves compared to Alliance, and she definitely has different dialogue for Horde lol. Not sure about Kael yet.
If I recall correctly he has unique dialogue if you play as blood/void elves but last I checked it doesn't make a difference whether you play void or blood he has the same dialogue for either thalassian elves.
I know he adresses BE and VE as "subjects" at some point (or he did during beta), of that I'm sure, but I wonder if after finishing the Venthyr campaign he has special interactions

While Kael'Thas expresses that the Scourge took everything away from him, it was the Legion that truly took everything away from him and yet he made a deal with Kil'Jaeden.
Those who say this isn't Kael'thas. This is Kael'thas, just the one from Burning Crusade. Of course, he's nothing like his counterpart from WC3. There was a 5 year time gap between Frozen Throne and Burning Crusade. By the time we meet him again, he's a Fel addict with his personality completely corrupted from using it heavily.
I'm just sad how Blizzard has treated him. And Kael was never prideful, he was very humble - even for a prince. To me it looks like they changed his personality with Arthas (before Frostmourne) lol. He was the prince with an ego.
I don't understand, does campaign happen after the Nathria raid? Because Kael'thas is there being filled with other's sins and anima, and in this it's talked like this is in the past. And I thought campaigns happened before the raid
