Having lived in both countries - UK houses are just less efficiently insulated, never have air conditioning, and typically have radiators instead of any forced air heating or central air. As a result lower floors tend to run cold, while upper floors tend to run hot. UK buildings also tend to be made out of brick which, when compared to wood, the material in most American houses, functions as kind of a heat sink rather than an insulator. Most of the year, the average temperature in the UK is between 10 and 20C (50-70F), and so this system tends to keep things indoors pretty comfortable under typical conditions, and in the winter, the radiators keep things warm. But if things go above an average temperature of 22C for more than a day things get really uncomfortable really fast, especially if you live on an upper floor.
I also feel like the US often overdoes it with the heating in the winter (and many would probably say with the aircon in the summer as well). My parent's house in the UK dips down to around 15-16C (60F) in the winter, which is cold, but you just put on a couple layers and a warm sweater, and all you have to do is throw on a coat to go outside. Midwest winters are always going to be more involved because it's so much colder outside, but it's stupid to keep the indoor temps over 20C (70F), especially when it's unacceptable to pull your boots and socks off at school or at work. It forces you to choose between outdoor comfort and indoor comfort.

If you run it under cool water instantly, your hand is going from extreme heat to extreme cold which shocks the skin and can make the burn blister worse and take longer to heal. Just for future reference if you ever read this.

If you care: the L3 button locks your controls in the current position indicated by the purple arrows on your pitch/yaw/roll meters. Hold L1 and press L3 to undo the lock. Most controls are listed behind the Joystick icon in the top right corner of your screen, fyi 😅
The much easier way to operate time warp on console is to use triangle to bring up the radial menu, then "Enter warp mode", then use R1 and L1 to increase or decrease the time warp. Square to halt time warp, circle to exit warp mode. You must do this without the cursor on the screen (L3), and if you press L3 while in warp mode you need to press it again before you exit warp mode. Much much easier than trying to click the little buttons at the top.

you can hook a keyboard to your ps4 and the hotkeys are mostly the same
Just seen this on your channel 😂😂😂😂😂 I started on console. God you brought back some memory’s was wetting myself laughing. Feel your pain 😂😂😂
I've been waiting for it, the realization hits at 1:20:20 no parachutes
I was in my friend home i was Able to land on lathyne on console nearly Destroyed the Lander but i did it
Matt I feel your pain, I had the handle of my mug break off while making a cup of tea. Said boiling tea water then splashed onto my stomach and I now have a horrible burn. I managed to rip the skin off and I now have a horrible burn requiring redressing every few days.
Such trivial injuries but such horrible pain.
L1 and left/right D-pad buttons to switch control to a different vessel or kerbal.
If you care: the L3 button locks your controls in the current position indicated by the purple arrows on your pitch/yaw/roll meters. Hold L1 and press L3 to undo the lock.
Most controls are listed behind the Joystick icon in the top right corner of your screen, fyi 😅
Left Bumper + left and right on the d pad to quick switch between crafts, you can always check the bindings menu aswell :/
Very frustrating for Matt, but damn that was funny! Total respect for sticking it to the end, and a real shame about the parachutes.
2:43 Sean's Cannery made the Munar Excursion Module.
Sean's Cannery.
I love how i took a year and a half for him to figure out throttle commands (but y u no look at the commands in the pause menu???)
Tip for matt. If you press down on the left stick of the controller, a cursor will appear that helps out A TON when doing stuff
FINALLY! :) also rip hand
I got so frustrated after seeing him remember power but not parachutes 😭it was so funny
As a console player it looks so funny him not knowing the controls because they are so simple to me
What makes this video perfect is the slight sound of the spray bottle then Matt moaning
Hi, Matt! I love your videos and you're my favorite thing to watch in the morning. Keep up the amazing content!
KSP 2: give the player incentive to creat and launch refinery bases and colonies on other planets by creating different minable resources on different planets used to create different parts. I.E. mine mun ore to refine and process into mun construction parts to make mun feul, which has higher concentration of isotopes of hydrogen which gives your nuclear drives an efficiency boost. Or minmus ice refined into minmus water for life support, which has additional minerals Increasing your kerbles' status of being alive.
I've never heard you so frustrated, and I kinda love it. ;D Good effort, Matt. Literally never touch the console again, please, for your own sanity.
Prayers headed your way Matt for healing.
Also if you burn yourself again that is decently bad. Please seek medical attention right away. 🖖
Ive played KSP on Xbox for years and it's so funny see him struggling like I did at the beginning xD
Finaaaaly back to console! Been a long time Matt :)
take care matt. we love you. have a nice day
