Greyhounds run with their mouths open. They wear a soft muzzle when they run so if there is a dog vs dog or people collision, at 45 mph it won't also involve teeth.

My lab mix was always ripped her whole life even when she was old. It made us laugh when she sat at attention and her front arms and chest were pumped and chiseled like an Adonis. She was such a sweetheart I miss her so much

Greyhounds, whippet, and Italian greyhounds all use a double suspension gallop. When they run, their bodies ate off the groung twice. If I' m not mistaken, they are off the ground 75% of the time.

Afghan hounds also have a pelvis that can rotate left or right nearly 90 degrees making them very agile and the fastest rough terrain dogs in the world.

My friend had a greyhound. It was so funny watching him play with other dogs. They couldn't keep up with him, even when they cut the corner. He'd just look at them and kick it up another gear.

That hound would not hurt you they are brought up knowing that humans are good to them form puppy to finished racing they are the most gentle dogs you can find notice how he went passed the lure totally ignored it
They are shockingly fast, even compared to other speedy sight hounds! I had a retired racing greyhound and used to take her to lure coursing practices. People would sometimes crowd near the finish to catch their dogs at the end of a run... and when a greyhound suddenly was coming at them at 40mph+ vs their dog, they were often shocked. A greyhound especially has a topend that simply leaves other dogs behind. Of course the greyhounds don't have the endurance of the other breeds.
They pull so hard, my greyhounds toes would be bleeding around her claws where she was ripping the grass so hard! She'd be exhausted for the next two days. Longer recovery needed if she crashed trying to turn at speed.

I have two Greyhounds, one of them is a retired racer. They are simply the best breed! There is a myth that they need tons of exercise but it’s not true. They sleep for up to 19hrs a day lol. I HIGHLY recommend getting a Greyhound. They are so sweet and gentle. I love my two girls!

I’ve got a sixth month old whippet. Even at her young age, she moves. When she’s coming at you, galloping like a little horse, you have to stay still and she’ll whizz by you, it’s breathtaking.

What's amazing is that after he kicks off his hind legs and pulls them up and as they're about to go back down, he pushes off with his front legs, creating enough of a hang time that his hind legs are able to pull back up before going back down. Just incredible.
