The Bee Gees sang this song as a tribute to Andy in their "One Night Only" Las Vegas concert. A slide show was going on in the back. When the second verse started they played Andy singing this song. It was very beautiful.
I was born in 67 and Andy was my first idol. I have loved the Bee Gees since I was 6 years old because my brother had LP's of them. Then I heard Andy and I soaked up everything from him. I still have his records and listen to them regularly. I think of him very often and will never forget him. It's nice that there are people who appreciate his skills today. Who would have thought 4 brothers born with natural singing talents. And if I'm not mistaken, I think their sister can sing as well! Such a talented family. ❤❤
This performance was from 1978 so Andy was 20 or 21 years old. Unbelievable talent and potential. Remembering him as March 5, 2023 would be his 65th birthday had he lived. One of the great injustices of our time is that three of these brothers left us far too early. RIP Andy, Maurice and Robin. They are not forgotten.
Andy was so much like Barry.. When he sang he just melted so many young girls hearts, mine included.. When he passed away I cried for days , he was such a talented and beautiful man... Barry and Andy co-wrote several of Andy's songs... You like Robin and Maurice are missed so very much..💗💗💗
Such a beautiful song. What a production. The BeeGees wrote so much of Andy's music and did backup vocals. He had his own voice ,but definite influence of his brothers. They wanted him to be successful and he was. They adored their little brother and it showed. Gone too soon. Andy,Maurice, and Robin.R.I.P. and thank you guys so much. Your legacy lives on and continues to bring joy to our hearts. Thanks for your reactions. Andy and Barry on" Love is Thicker than water",amazing.
Barry has an older sister that could sing also. She filled in for a little while when Robin walked out, and quit the group. Such a talented family. My favorite group, The Bee Gees!
Andy did a live performance of his first hit, I Just Want To Be Your Everything (co-written with Barry), and was even playing guitar. Pretty impressive, especially for an 18 year old.
Andy Gibb was amazing and so talented just like his brothers The Bee Gees! I was 17 and 3 weeks from graduating high school when Andy passed! He had 3 # 1’s back to back! The Bee Gees have wrote over 1,000 songs and Andy helped write some with them! Love and miss Andy terribly! He was a teen idol and on all the teen magazines! My favorite song of Andy’s is I Just Want To Be Your Everything! I Miss Robin and Maurice too! May they all RIP! Thank you so much for your review!
Andy, was my first concert at the Michigan State Fair. Me and my friends were right in the front we were 13 years old. When he sings the song, he can do it with such feelings, incredible that way. His body movements one singing any of his songs, is just incredible. The same year I became addicted to the Bee Gees. I've been listening for 45 years, continuously everyday to their their music. All four brother Gibbs, should be proclaimed best musicians ever. 🎧🎼🎶🎧🎸❤️🎼🎶🎧🎸🎶🎼💯🎧 I love these men, they have got me through some bad, and Good times.
One quite sad fact: the brothers passed away in the opposite way as they were born. Andy was born last, but died first. Maurice was the born as fourth child (30 minutes after Robin) but died second in 2003. Robin was born as the middle child and died as the middle sibling in 2012. ****Another sad fact: their mother witnessed all their deaths. She passed away in 2016, aged 95**** And as you know, Barry's still very much alive. As you already may have noticed: yes, there are five children. There is a sister named Lesley. She's the first born of the Gibb siblings. She's also still alive.
My sister passed away 8 yrs ago.. stunningly at 51 yrs old.. but we had great harmonies together.. she was lead i just followed.. but the Gibbs.. wow.. Barry.. obviously the oldest.. is still amazing.. he's lost all his younger brothers.. I can't imagine what he goes through every day.. but Andy..my teen idol.. sounded just like Barry... But have to say I loved Robin's voice also.. and never take anything away from Maurice... he had it going on with his harmony and his instrument.s
When Andy was a teenager in Australia he fronted a progressive rock band called “Zenda.” He was a terrific songwriter. My fave of his is “Starlight.” He wrote a bunch of great songs, and was the equal of his brothers comparing them in their mid-late teens, before fame and cocaine and alcohol got hold of him. Andy Gibb forever.😊💗
You're listening to Barry's twin. The Bee Gees sang back up. The talent was poured out on the Gibb family. Even their sister Leslie could sing and covered for Robin one time in a concert.
Barry wrote this song with blue Weaver (his key board player), the brothers sang backup and Barry produced. He looks so much and sounds so much like Barry, but more delicate . He does falsetto too. Him and Barry are 12 years apart but they even had the same birth marks, liked the same things ( tennis , for example). Andy always looked up to Barry & wanted to be just like him. Barry was crushed when he died.
Andy, like his brothers, could also sing in that amazing falsetto voice. Like Barry, Andy has an unbelievable range and stage presence. He drew his fans into the song. RIP Andy, Robin and Maurice. You are missed.
Such a huge loss, he was awesome!!! You really should watch the tribute The Bee Gees did to Andy of this song, it was their one night only performance and it will make you cry!
Barry has said that even though there was a big age difference of 12 years between him and Andy that him and Andy were the most like twins themselves. They looked alike and they sounded alike & were very close, his death hit them all really hard. ♥️😢
Chad I'm so glad and happy that you have discovered what all of us old people already knew.....the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were/are the world's treasures. They are the BEST our world has.
I was 8 and this puts me on a cloud. He was my first Star to die..I was so sad and bereft, like a child, i didn't understand anything but heart attack. I had never heard the words for drugs so I blanked that out. I was sooo sad. My first celebrity crush
I know can you believe that every single Gibb brother has so much talent? It is really remarkable as a mom of just one son I can’t imagine how proud the mama was of her children not just for their singing and their musical abilities but their personalities too!!!
The parents of The Bee Gees and Andy were very talented musically - their father Hugh (a drummer...) had his own Big Band, their mother Barbara was a vocalist in another band. (Their big sister Leslie is also musically talented.)
🥀Beautiful sad Song amazing lyrics, vocals and music and yes he sounds like Barry the most. I love Andy as well. It's sad to watch this video but heart warming. I love all of his song's. 🥀 🥀RIP Andy Gibbs We Love You🥀☝️🥀🕊🥀
The talent didnt stop with the brothers. Their kids are recording together now. This is an older Bee Gees song they do that Ijust love. Here are the players.. Guy with dark hair who sings first is Spencer, Robins son Girl with white tank top is Samantha, Maurices daughter Guy plying piano is Adam, Maurices son, Tall guy with beard is Steven, Barrys son who also plays in with his dad onstage these days Girl with hat is Andys daughter Peta ruclips.net/video/qbz8sLY3ZdY/видео.html
Spencer has the same vibrato as his father Robin, but lower and hoarse voice. My favorite of his songs is "Hey World", underrated but very beautiful, and relevant for the time which we live. ruclips.net/video/TFjFOGeJgjc/видео.html
The sister could sing very well, also. She is older than Barry. Such a talented family. All the brothers could mesmorize the fans. Beautiful and tragic. Barry was heartbroken when Andy died.
I was heartbroken when Andy Gibb died!!!!! When I think back about it I still cry. He was my heartthrob, along with his brother Barry. To me the best musicians ever. The Bee gees and Andy Gibb
I think if Andy had lived he might have even been more popular than his brothers, he was well on his way when he died suddenly, god damn I hate drugs and what they do to people, they have taken many people that I cared about. Great reaction. You have a very soothing voice.
So much like Barry but with his own style. Watch Me Without You. Very dramatic performance. Loved this guy and his voice amazing. Have been watching a lot of Andy today. Next week on March 10 is the 34th anniversary of his passing too soon! What a special talent!
Lost way too soon. On the way to the hospital in the ambulance he asked his mother “you can’t die from this right, Mum”? He obviously didn’t realize that his cocaine abuse could kill him. So very, very sad. I remember exactly where I was when I heard of his passing.
i read this that spencer ( 15 at the time ) said the song was overwhelmingly difficult for them to sing he said that my dad came home and played the demo of the song to him and that it was absolutely heartbreaking . spencer burst in to tears and robin choked up anyway cut a long story short spencer said nothing will ever touch that demo . barry was doing those falsetto ad lips at the end of the song and his voice is breaking up like he cant hold it together . he then went on to say its beautifully produced and i couldnt agree more .. there is a lot more he said about it but i thought i would only put a little bit

Barry's mini me. He looks like Barry and sings like Barry. So tragic what happened to Andy. He was so talented and we still miss Andy
Andy's solo vocals are exquisite here and that bridge is spine tingling.
