The Bee Gees just make you happy when they sing. They have the gift of writing music that just keeps on giving too. Miss Mo, Robin, and Andy. At least we still have our beloved Barry ♥️ Bless him and his family.
I had NO idea regarding what you shared about their (lack of?) background!😲 (Freddie Mercury of Queen was the same: No formal training, except some piano when he was a kid… He quit the piano lessons, tho, because, he said, he “couldn’t really read sheet music”.)
They started in 1955 I was born march 5/3/1955 I grew up listening to the Bee Gees I was 8 when I first saw them on the TV and when I was 12 that's when I got into there songs I love the Bee Gees 💞💞 but I 💕 Robin the song was Storm and his voice was out off this world that's when I got hooked on Robin Gibb, But I will always 💕 the Bee Gees great songs But my song bird has got my ❤
Genuinely one of my favorite interviews they ever did. Like you said, Parkinson’s style was so warm and welcoming. You can tell he truly loved their music too. I love how they’re all sitting there so casually but can still break into the beautiful harmonies. Robin’s voice especially shines in this setting (that Silent Night at the end was stunning). I’m very glad you enjoyed this video. Have a great holiday season and trip to Australia!! 🎄✨
Michael's interviews were always very professional, as you said with clever questions and almost like a chat among friends, and you are right, those two astonishing bands, my two favorites by the way, are at the same level none better than the other just different, there's no comparison whatsoever comparisons are nasty, each one bright with their own star.
What a sweet gift getting to watch one of my favorite interviews with our guys with you, especially today hearing them sing Silent Night--could anyone sing it better, I think not. And your reaction was a gift too, so thoughtful and appreciative. Thank you, Luke, for another great Bee Gees' reaction, and thank you to Kate for another great pic!
I've heard this interview many times as well as other interviews where they just on the spur of the moment sing. I think this was part of their magical talent is that they could just pick up a guitar and sing on pitch with the Harmony of some of their most fantastic songs. I think this is part of what makes the Bee gees not only great but that their music is going to last forever.
They didn't hit their first peak in their early to mid 20's like most bands but were in fact still teenagers @17 and 20 respectively competing with performers often 10 years older than they were. Robin's vibrato in "Silent Night" sounds like an angel. That vocal quality alone was surely one that other bands lacked. They didn't mention that part of their reason for emigration to Australia was at the suggestion of the Manchester police. Barry was on parole for theft at 12 and Robin threatened with reform school for arson at 8.
@@gv7217 - They saw that as an opportunity for a better life as did many others. Manchester was a really depressed area physically and financially after the war and jobs were few.
People don't realize too that when they split up this was the first time they'd ever lived apart. They had wives and their own homes. It had to be odd because suddenly they weren't just the Bee Gees, they were trying to find their way in life as individual men.
Thanks Luke for a great reaction to the unsurpassable talent of the brother's Gibb. With also a shout out to Sir Barry Gibbs who was recently honoured at the Kennedy Centre Honours. Merry Christmas.
thanks, Luke, for posting this.. I had not seen it before... it's so sweet how easily they can sing together "on the spot" (I really love Robin especially.. so unique.. although Barry was the "leader" and I still think Maurice never got enough credit for his vocals and also musical contributions...and of course, his humor) appreciate your reaction!
Thank you for sharing this lovely video. I’ve been a fan since the 60’s. Barry had announced he is no longer singing because of deafness. I’m very depressed about it. He will write.
I've seen others say he's now deaf. 🤷🏻♀️Not sure where they got that from, but hard of hearing isn't the same as being deaf. Luke also has some great Bee Gees reactions!
Hey man, just checking in to see if you are good, havent seen you post any reactions in a while, and I gotta say, I really enjoy them. Especially the Prince ones. Hope you are doing ok and hope to see you back on here soon.
I love the interviews almost as much as their music. They're funny! You should react to their interview Anderson. It starts off ok and goes downhill. Maurice has no clue what is about to happen. I must say Clive Anderson kept picking at Barry.

The Bee Gees are a phenomenon unlikely anyone I can think of or compare too❤
The Bee Gees just make you happy when they sing. They have the gift of writing music that just keeps on giving too. Miss Mo, Robin, and Andy. At least we still have our beloved Barry ♥️ Bless him and his family.
So Beautiful, Simply Awesomely Amazing 😍🤩. That's almost acapella. Just guitars
Wow! Robins voice oh my word...
shivers
I'm so glad they didn't quit. I wouldn't have so much more beautiful music that I still listen to every day. ❤
They are just brilliant with only acoustic guitar. Love them. ❤
Fantastic video of fantastic brothers' group! Dreamy!!!
I think this is my favourite version of Massachusetts. Utterly gorgeous.
The amazing thing is they couldn’t read or write music! And they didn’t have any music training. This is all NATURAL TALENT! Their story is amazing!!!
I had NO idea regarding what you shared about their (lack of?) background!😲
(Freddie Mercury of Queen was the same: No formal training, except some piano when he was a kid… He quit the piano lessons, tho, because, he said, he “couldn’t really read sheet music”.)
Silent Night was the "crown-jewel" of the entire interview! The Gibb bros truly have-been/& still are... a blessing to the world!
Michael Parkinson couldn’t have summed it up more perfectly at the end, saying … “That was lovely.”
Indeed it was. ❤
Bee Gees still got IT. Beatles Been gone.
Merry Christmas Luke. My favorite group ❤of all time!!!

Great guys so talented 🥰
Robin had the best sense of humor. I probably liked the tone of his voice even more than Barry's. 🎶🎵💚
Think Mo had the best sense of humor, as he was just naturally funny.😁

Robin's voice wouldn't be shining without his brothers.
How many artists today could impromptu sing with such mastery.
You are so sincere luke and your analysis are spot on to a legendary group like the bee gees❤
Oh my god Luke, I love my Moby. His smile is out of this world, he is the most sexiest man ever. 💕💕💕. Thank you Luke 😘
I love the interviews
Nice interview ! Your facial expressions are classic, Man!

Merry Christmas Luke! Loving your site! Keep showing all of these wonderful songs/interviews and your reactions!😊❤
It's so sad that they're gone now. Great guys with great talent. They were born to do what they did so well.
Yeah, don’t write Barry off yet. Thank goodness.

What a nice Christmas morning treat! Thank you so much.
Please react to them performing WINE AND WOMEN on Australian tv. It’s priceless!!

@susieq9801 Mo Mr Goody Two Shoes as he dubbed himself vs his twin The Flame 🔥😄
@@Zlata1313 - Yes, just one of his nicknames.

Eat your hearts out all the artists that now use auto tune singing live on a tv program with those harmonies pure talent

Amo❤❤❤ as intrevistas com os Bee Gees 🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great reaction, Luke! Thank you for this!
My favourite watching them sing together sitting in an interview ❤️
Thank you for sharing this lovely video. I’ve been a fan since the 60’s. Barry had announced he is no longer singing because of deafness. I’m very depressed about it. He will write.
Deafness my butt. Where did he say that? I think you’re telling stories.
All he said is his hearing isn’t as good as it was, but he’s not done, he says, he’s not done at all. And thank goodness for that.
I've seen others say he's now deaf. 🤷🏻♀️Not sure where they got that from, but hard of hearing isn't the same as being deaf. Luke also has some great Bee Gees reactions!
Thank you for bringing the whole interview, many reactors are afraid doing this bc of different reasons. Subscribed1

I love the interviews almost as much as their music. They're funny!
You should react to their interview Anderson. It starts off ok and goes downhill. Maurice has no clue what is about to happen. I must say Clive Anderson kept picking at Barry.
Robin suffered with colon cancer for some years before his death on May 20, 2012.Maurice lost his hair early on due to Alopecia.
@beeseewill2407 2012 not 2013
How about all the songs they wrote for other people. Huge catalogue.
I believe the BeeGees to be superior to the Beetles - no matter how inspired they were by them - sometimes the student out-shines the mentor.
