Loved seeing the bear fishing. I’m curious about Aunt Julia’s story, how did she end up living in Canada, living in such a fantastic place. Maybe you should do a video with Julia.😊
Easel the legend 👍👍you know it was worse in 2020 as you couldn’t travel anywhere, not only you I’m having post traumatic stress remembering those episodes 😁😁 but you generate lists of love and positivity with everyone you meet xxxx
Trudy has survived the turkish roads and got multiple updates. Great that the community helps you out with parts. Hope to see you again in Türkiye 🇹🇷 Your positivity amazes me keep up the good content 😃
Hello Ambassadors Such a great video. I used to play right at the RXR tracks when I was at the age of 11-12 years. It brought the memories back. I would spent hours there. Thanks for bringing those days back. Aunt Julia is such a lovely lady. The lake view, rolling hills also reminded me England. I enjoyed my 6 months there ☀️🌈🌈I hope you get the parts for our friend Trudy really soon and be back on the road. Just one sincere comment: Thank you for bringing these lovely sites and wild nature even under the circumstances. For that I appreciate both of you. Keep up the good videos and have fun💗💗💗🇹🇷🇹🇷
My husband and I had a 1979 Westphalia conversion. Last of the air cooled. It was great until you got in a trffic jam in a hot summer. But they were the best years of our lives.
Damn Chris, you kids still in Duncan? Ok let’s just put the cards on the table. You guys love Canada and all the awesome Canadians, your meeting! I hope you two, are making friends for life! Cheers from Ottawa.
Hi guys thanks for taking me along with you on your travels it is so wonderful to be able to travel the world while sitting in my recliner and watching you on my 70 inch TV I am watching 6 different couples travelling different place in this wonderful world of ours. Lots of Love and prayers 😊🏝🦋💖🦮Safe Travels
A toast to you and Trudy with the Latvian vodka I brought back to Texas! Yesterday I had a glass of lemonade with the first ice I had seen in five weeks. Latvia doesn't use ice. Beer is drunk at room temperature(cold) and vodka is drunk in 50 ml shot glasses, never in cocktails or mixed drinks.
Oh gosh Mary Ann, I think this is the first time I've seen you wear your hair down and you look so cute! Glad to see you're making the most of your situation..... but gosh, what a place to have to be stuck in, eh? Beautiful, doesn't get much better than that.
We used to live near a paper mill in the province of Quebec and often had to go through that town. The general consensus when in the car travelling through that town was that you held your farts until the smell of the town hit the inside of the vehicle! Still makes me laugh remembering it!
Years ago l visited Vancouver Island and found a village called Chermainus .( thats probably misspelt ). The townsfolk didnt want to leave when their paper mill closed so they found a way to keep tourists coming to keep the town alive. They decorated large outdoor walls with murals and they’re worth seeing. Vancouver lsland is very like the area where l live in South Australa . You are bringing back lots of lovely memories for me, so thankyou and happy travelling. 🌈🐨
If you have some time left on Vancouver island for more exploring….I recommend a few spots on the lower west side … an hour and a half outside Victoria is botanical Beach, Avitar grove (very large trees), Sombrio beach (hidden waterfall), sangrigham lighthouse & Shirley delicious cafe. Enjoy your Vancouver Island adventures! From a local who doesn’t live far from these beautiful spots! 🌲🌊
I slept next to Trudy last night at Cracker Barrel, which I never do…. but wanted to treat my dogs to bacon and eggs last night :) Glad I did because I found your channel. I will be power watching your channel on my travels :)
I visited the island years ago, 1991?, and recall a village where the front gardens were full of flowers. Some had amusing wooden cut outs painted to look like a woman bending over in a big skirt as if she was gardening! Quite realistic! Another town was full of totem poles!
Shame trudy is taking so long but at least you can still get about 👏 Own up who passed wind 🌬 😷 What a lovely bay and it looked like Aunt Julia enjoyed it 😂 Its amazing how talented people are and that bear bench really shows it 👌
I adore Vancouver Island. My brother lived in Sooke for a decade or so, and I visited from the UK - it was my favourite trip ever. I saw a bear and cub at Sooke Potholes campground and a grey whale in Oak Bay on my first day. Wow 🥰 I can't think of a better place to live. It's been so lovely seeing you visit places I stayed on my tour of the island ❤️
Great footage. Sorta of a sad update but Trudy will be back up and running soon. I may be a little biased as a born and Raised BC girl, but if I was going to get stuck anywhere for 3+ weeks, Vancouver Island ain't too shabby. Glad you have family around (makes it easier being stuck), & that the weather has been still pretty warm and dry for us this time of year.
That was so cool seeing sites from my island and home base which is duncan. I assume your long gone from duncan now. If not we should be in touch. ~Loreen
Riveting video of the bear/salmon at the end. I’m curious about why you didn’t mention the bear in the title. I enjoy how you describe the scents around you and I’m happy to see the map come out. Be well and travel safely.
Professional drivers move into the other lane and slow down when they approach emergency vehicles in the shoulder. Signed retired Trucker from Cambridge Ontario. I’m surprised the police didn’t chase you down, I believe it’s the law across Canada? 🤔
A lovely diversion from waiting for the post! I'm so glad the bear made an appearance for you -- I forget, did you see any in Alaska? And never look straight up at birds!! 😆😆🤢 I swear they have marksmanship like a bombardier! ❤️❤️😎👍xx
@@TheShauNanigans Well, she did mention them briefly on her way to the Arctic. She saw their Tread the Globe sticker on a sign and gave them and this this channel a call out.
@@nimaside I must have missed that. I wonder where she found their sticker since they took different routes to the arctic. I'm more referring to showing both channels interacting together since they both spent the day together. People are more likely to search for channels when there are collaborations or they spend time together in some capacity rather than mentioning the other channel briefly.
hey have you used those 2 part epoxy that comes in the small kind of squeezy packets gorilla brand do one, that will sort out that back window and it won't fail

Great suggestion! She is a world traveller and met a man and fell in love !!
If you have to be stuck waiting on parts, there are a lot of places worse to be stuck. Vancouver Island is one of my favorite places on earth!

we are always faithfully waiting for the latest videos from the Tread the globe channel 😊

Hi Aaron - yep we saw one on the border with Stewart and Hyder ... it was a grizzly !! woo hoo 🐻🙌
You won't see that in Dudley Zoo or the West Midlands Safari Park in Bewdley.
Make sure you go to to Tofino. Such a beautiful part of Canada
Halloween is coming. May the treats be better than the tricks!
Good scenery and nice food. You could be stranded worse places ! I have sympathy for Marianne but not much Chris 🤠
Brilliant footage of the bear😊

Just a thought.once you have your motor.get rid.get a Ford.

People who live with the smell of pulp mills say it is the smell of money. ( I have my doubts, having spent time around Port Alberni)
