The week before I experienced a stunning inversion on a wild camp - ruclips.net/video/aQodLwq64vs/видео.htmlsi=_tCdH5ZQX2QNWH0k Had a few issue with the upload so it never got distributed out as usual - I also go through tips and tricks for experiencing an inversion. Had a few questions on this in this video so thought I would pin this one for info. Stay safe all and catch you soon M
Absolutely magnificent lads. This stuff is the absolute justification for RUclips. This is better than anything on the TV. Brilliant folks, brilliant views, fascinating subjects. Take a bow.
Great footage of Stob Ghabhar. I grew up with a respect and awe of this Mountain as my dad climbed it in winter in the early 1960s but had an accident on the way down, resulting in significant facial injuries. He was a young guy at the time but an experienced climber, it didn't deter his love for the hills but I got the impression it was this Mountain that humbled him. When we were near it he always used it as an opportunity to remind me and my brother to take care when on the hills.
Thanksgiving here in the US, so thanks for all your great videos and repeatedly showing how amazing nature can be without having to go through extreme circumstances!
absolutely superb - Love it when Gerry shares his summit knowledge - well done Gerry- Just like that!!- You guys need to take Mark more often if that is what he brings with him
You just can't beat it when you three get together. What a perfect day you got too, inversions, brochin spectors, iron bru jelly babies, scotch eggs and a challenging 360 from Gerry, perfection 👌
Another good outing. Had to get my log out to remember this one. I see I climbed it twice a month apart 31 years ago!! June and July 93. And I also learnt a valuable lesson. The second outing I climbed 4 on the Black Mount range with my two dogs and my friends dog who was in heat and watched my two lovely retrievers pine after this dog for two of the hills until they lost interest and enjoyed the walk. The lesson was don’t travel with two male dogs and a dog in heat as your pace is somewhat faster!! Ha ha. Nice to see you all enjoying the inversion. Look forward to your next outing.
Dear Murray, Greg and Mark, many thanks for yet another awe inspiring climb and fantastic views. I am southern English chap living in Eastern Europe who misses not being able to get to Scotland anymore, a country that love with such fantastic mountains and nature. Well over twenty years since I was able to visit and walk amongst Scotland's beautiful nature. Stuck on a walking stick these days, but love to live vicariously with you on all your treks. Thank you so much. K.J.
Brilliant Murray as usual. It was great to see Gerry, Mark and yourself together again or the three mountaineer. Amazing Brocken and cloud inversion. Loved the scream at the end. Catch you on the next one mate.
Superb views, well timed you lot. Good to see Gerry " The Jelly baby kid" and Horizontal Mark back out with you. Those Scotch Eggs have taken their toll looking at that young fresh faced lad !
Superb murray 👏 cloud inversions are really special 👌 breathtaking 🙌 great video as always mate 👍 i did the 2 munros a couple of months ago, great hike. Atb Davie
That ending ...some things that can't be unseen 😂😂😂. Another brilliant brilliant video, well done another inversion. Always wonderful seeing Jerry and Mark and the stories and banter wonderful. Once again many thanks for inviting us along roll on next week's video
Hi Murray what a fantastic walk, the inversion was absolutely incredible. I’d love to walk that mountain one day, looked such an interesting landscape. Thanks for posting an incredible watch! Best wishes Adam
Thanks for sharing another great film Murray . Good to see The Three Musketeers again. What lovely friends you have to share your walks with👌. Always fun 🥳
Thank you Murray, beautiful Brocken and stunning clouds and views :) is it true then, you choose them on the predicted chance of an inversion? You guys always make me laugh with the banter, always pushing the limits of family viewing 😁 Tesco's ones are way better than COOP ones, much more flavour. (I have been watching back to back videos so don't feel you need to answer everything)
Look at your young, peally wally self, scaring off everyone around you! 😆 What perfect weather! Amazing Brocken and beautiful blue sky. Incredible! I’ll never get tired of seeing those, so keep up, Murray! Cheers, and ATB!
Stob Ghabhar is one of my favourites and I have done it twice. This is one great vid and the temperature inversion is magnificent. The best one I have ever seen was many years ago on Beinn Eighe in the Torridons and they stay in the memory forever. I've seen a few Brocken spectres with the best one on Ben Lui - always a treat when you see one.
Stunning. Hahhaha think that's the morning I was stuck in the cloud up a hill in Torridon 😂. Brilliant footage loved it. I had an inversion camping up this one along the Aonach Eagash ridge below Stob Ghabar. Pretty similar. Lovely memmory.
It’s a grand area for camping for sure and a lovely mountain - hope you guys are ok - just been editing the Harris trip and bit where I bump into you and Dave 👍👍
Great video Murray. It was nice to see you with Gerry and Mark. The cloud inversions were great. You were lucky to get above the clouds and have blue sky. Great video at the end. Well done.
Hi Murray, Many thanks for taking us along with the gang during your climb up that testing hill! But what a view! And perfect weather in which to do it! And wise words from Jerry, who has clearly seen and done a bit of mountain climbing!
what a fantastic video! You guys are having too much fun! Absolutely spectacular summit. Your weather guy/trip planner nailed it perfectly. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Hi Murray, and grey to see Gerry and Mark out with you again. What a stunning adventure you had, always brilliant to see a cloud, er sorry, I mean a temperature inversion. 🤣 All the best and thanks for taking us along with you as always. 😃🥾⛰
Brilliant video and has really fired up my enthusiasm for climbing these beautiful mountains. However I am complete novice and wondered whether there was a list somewhere of easy mountains to start hiking and then progressing up to more difficult ones in this area and also in Skye. Thanks and I look forward to the next video. Cheers, Paully
Brilliant video Murray, and great to see Mark and Gerry, l love tbe 360° commentary. I didnt see any pork pies, but l expect they weren't far away 😁 Thanks for the adventure.......Alioban ❤
absolutely amazing it’s beautiful amazing video great 2 jerry mark out all three nice but it’s absolutely amazing sorry murray am a bit late ma husband was in a car crash but he’s ok love the video 👍
Another excellent video thanks Murray. Fantastic inversion experience accompanied with brilliant photography. Loved the banter between you guys. Never a dull moment.
We have a saying round here. Your boughtered in it! Hehe covered in luck, but I’m a firm believer of you make your own luck. Stunning! Laughing at the banter Gerry 1860 😂 New channel name, Scotlands inversions 😍👍 loved it!
I wish I had been there to see that inversion it's beautiful . I know Dartmoor very well ,the lakes and New Forest . I have deen to the summitvof Ben nevis and Sgurr Alasdair years ago would love to climb a few Munros before I am not able to ,great video .
Always thought you were just kidding about Gerry's age, but here I see the photo clearly documenting his 1860 ascent in the upper couloir. Man, he is doing remarkably well in 2024! Amazing!
Brilliant as always and love it when Gerry is with you and perhaps Mark should tag along with you both more. The Knowledge that the Three of you have is outstanding and so helpful to those that are attempting the same as you. Scenery as always stunning. ATB to you all.
It certainly was - to get two cracking inversion day on consecutive weekends was awesome 🙌 not sure if this one trumps the wild camp one the week before 🤔👍👍
Excellent, great intro, the promise of interesting stories peppered keeping me hooked, along with interaction of all, oh and scenery is not bad 😊 well done 👍
Awesome and great planning. Really stunning footage and sometimes great to share it. Recall it well but weather wasn't so good for my trip with the dogs. But met some people on the summit so shared the descent.
Your story about crampons and ice axe on the steep pull up is the same as mine when i tried to get up , gah , and my meory of this climb is face planting in the burn , very lucky that i got away with it , cheers
Excellent as always Murray. Thinking of doing Stob a'Choire Odhar as an out and back this weekend. When you mentioned at the end when you attempted to do the second years ago and never took the axes etc that resonates with why I'm only considering the one apart from the lack of daylight and recovery from an illness. No point in taking an unnecessary risk especially when the rocks crossing the AE ridge and the final scramble could potentially be banked out or covered in ice from the recent cold snap. Look forward to your next one and cheers again.
What a nice video. Always a little creepy when you stand near the edge at the top It looks like there many have been some fencing at one time along the trail as there are metal posts I got a kick out the year you posted on Gerry's photo! Well done and take care ❤️🇨🇦☁️☁️

Thank You Del - much appreciated 🙏👍
100% agree.
Totally agree
I couldn't agree more...and with the added bonus of a Gerry 360 ° oh and irn Brew jelly babies !! magnifique !!!

I also love the 360 hill spotting, I always have to take photos then try and match up on Google earth. I think all walkers like that from the summit
Absolutely- rather good fun spotting all the other mountains from the top :)
Thanks for watching
M
True words from Gerry there, “experience being the sum of near misses”. Another great video Murray atb
🙏👍
That scream at the end 😁. Brilliant, Murray, see you next week.

A special day and one that will be remembered for a long time ❤.
Absolutely- was a fine trip and day on the mountain for sure 👍
Lovely mountain, fantastic day. Walked stob Ghabar, in winter conditions with Scottish hills group, and walk with Wallace.
Stunning. Days like this are the reward for all the days when the weather throws it all at you.
A long-standing question answered! You gave 'those' trousers to Gerry - not sure what he did to deserve it? That Brock Inspector gag perhaps...
😂 I was wondering who was going to notice who stole ma troosers 😳😂😂
Thank you Murray, beautiful Brocken and stunning clouds and views :) is it true then, you choose them on the predicted chance of an inversion? Stob Ghabhar is one of my favourites and I have done it twice.

I have to agree - nothings beats a good inversion for sure - always brightens the day (in more ways than 1 😂😂👍
Stunning. Hahhaha think that's the morning I was stuck in the cloud up a hill in Torridon 😂. Brilliant footage loved it. I had an inversion camping up this one along the Aonach Eagash ridge below Stob Ghabar. Pretty similar. Lovely memmory.

Thank you - the timing was just right I think a little after and the cloud would have risen over us and swallowed us up 👍
@@ScotlandsMountains yes, incredibly amazing that you hit the window perfectly!
Enjoyed that. I was up Beinn Mhanach yesterday and could see over to where you were, quite a lot of snow currently on these 2 mountains.
It’s nice to see some early winter conditions on the mountains recently - long may it last 😊👍

A prized asset ! Irn bru sweets and a scotch egg is hard to beat ! 😂👍
Great video and good to see the camaraderie. Today in Tesco I noticed that they were doing soft serve Scotch eggs. Impractical for the hills?
Best chanelle on RUclips. Inspiring. I'm from crieff. You are great. The qua6of the footage is spot on. You inspire me to keep climbing. ❤
