I have seen Diana singing Gilda in Vienna. She was great! Also seen Netrebko doing it in New York... they are VERY different, both very good, do not compare them, just enjoy them both!
At last, the DVD will be released on Sept. 20, 2010 by Virgin Classic. More than two years after the original performance ! But better late than never...
Bravissima la Damrau il Baritono ha una bella voce ma non si sa per quale motivo è da anni che tendono a spostare il suono indietro quasi alla nuca e specie negli acuti che per questo effetto sembrano quasi ingolati. Sentasi l'acuto finale del baritono

What has Netrebko got to do with this production. This is Diana Damrau who was excellent in this creative stage updating.
